This little package arrived just as I was peeling potatoes for dinner. I opened it up thinking I was going to try the pick utensil, so I could make pretty slices. Lo and behold I noticed the wavy green handled thing and picked it up and tried it on a peeled potato I had in front of me. It sliced through the potato easily and there I had a lovely wavy perfect slice of potato. I have to tell you, I have never had an easier, more fun time slicing potatoes. My kiddos really seemed to be tickled at the cool wavy shape of their fried potatoes. Note: It doesn't work great for slicing onions. For that I used the pick tool(I don't really know what else to call it. I actually bought this for the finger guards but I haven't tried that yet. For the price this is an excellent little addition to my kitchen. There are a couple of things in the box that I am not sure what to do with as yet, but I only received it last night. I can't wait to figure everything out. I am keeping all the tools in the box, so nothing gets lost. The only drawback is that the instructions coukd be a bit more in depth, but I am sure I will figure everything out in due time. I am going to order a couple of these for Christmas gifts, as well. I know I would appreciate this is a gift.

Cut great and protect your fingers

Nice set of tools for cutting fruits and vegetables.

My ADD/ ADHA niece is learning to cook and doing it the safe way.

I am not a cook but got this for someone who is and, in particular, for their children to use in the kitchen. It would have been nice to have a simple sheet of instructions included with this to illustrate the best and safest way to use each device. I wonder if similar sets selling for a bit more would have included this needed addition. I hope they can figure it out.

They are great to have and are large enough for my husband to use

The metal finger tips weren't comfortable, the cloth finger cots got wet right away and white holder was rather bulky. The metal protectors tended to slip off of the smooth hot peppers. The multi prong item was very useful for holding fruits, veggies, and slicing meat as well as moving the slices to the plates. The green handled metal holder didn't hold veggies very well but was very handy for cutting brownies and sheet cake which made for rippled edges. That and the multi prong both were useful for decorating cakes and cream pies. I used the metal finger tip protector to cut steam vents in a pie.
