Best tool in my sewing arsenal. My vision isn't great, so this has been incredibly helpful. No longer have to ask hubby to help. Just takes a minute or so to change needles.

Sewing needle kit ..a good bargain

Even needle threaders have to be put through the eye of the needle. But this definitely helps when it’s on the machine.

I needed this design specifically for large multineedle embroidery machines. There are certain extra parts near the needles that common household single needle machines don't have. Every other needle inserter out there doesn't factor this in and there's no space to remove the tool once needle is in place. I only found one similar tool sold by the manufacturer for $60!!! Ridiculous! Singer's unique design doesn't surround the needle so it just grabs and releases from the side. And grips the needle nice and tight so you can get it positioned perfectly with one hand and tighten the screw with the other. I've bought 4 now, just to make sure I always have one available in case I lose or break any.

Very cheap plastic. Not the quality I would expect from Singer. I pushed in the plunger to try it and it stuck. Wouldn't come back out, so wouldn't hold the needle. I had to repair it before I could even use it. So cheaply made I doubt it will hold up for long. I was going to buy another one for my travel machine, but nope, not after this experience. Singer, bring back the quality you've been known for.

I loved the idea of this gadget. It had all the potential in the world of being great. My only real complaint is the little hook that grasps the needle is far too flimsy. It bends with the slightest amount of pressure, and getting it back to it's original form is next to impossible.

Hold the needle the right way to put in the hole my eye sight is not as good as it was so I find that I can find the hole easier for the needle to be inserted

Being aware that we sewing hobbyists can be a little impulsive with our notions.. I debated because of my tendency to lose stuff (I blame the resident ghost) but this is compact fits easily in the machine’s drawer, now no more blue air when I change the needle which I have found out is so much more important then I thought. 😁
