197889-6 Flat End Nozzle

This fits just perfect on the blower and works as you would expect. This really helps it do more with less power by directing the airflow better. I was impressed with the blowers power to begin with, but this does take it up a bit and really helps all around, I haven't taken it off since I put it on.

This nozzle not only provides a comfortable extension to the blower tube, but a more concentrated, wide pattern as well. Really nice for cleaning thousands of square feet of pavers or concrete. I found that I could reduce the power on the blower, which really extends the run time, while clearing debris with greater efficiency. Great addition to the tool.

Product works properly and fits the extension tube, but is a but tough to get off when done using. This turns out to be a feature, so it doesn't loosen and fall off during use. Fit and finish is a bit rough, but it works as advertised.

Adding this accessory to the Makita 36 volt blower is straight forward. You remove the existing "tip" at the end of the blower tube with a twist and a pull. Install the new flat nozzle with the reverse motion. The advantage is a more focused air flow to the ground, so you can do the same work while operating the blower at a slightly lower speed. This will increase the run-time, as your batteries will last a little longer. One example, blowing grass off of the driveway: with out the flat nozzle I ran the blower at speed "6" to get the work done, with the nozzle I can run at speed "5" and I feel it gets the same job done. This accessory may not be necessary if you have several spare charged batteries, or if you do not routinely run out of battery life before your job is complete. Best regards-

I bought this attachment at the same time I bought the battery powered 36volt blower. I assumed I would need it. Turns out that the blower has plenty of power, and the difference this attachment makes is negligible. The blower's round ending is fairly small in person so has plenty of strength and focus. The biggest benefit I see is not the funnel shape but the extra 6 inches. At 6'1" I find the length to be a little short so this tip really helped. I ultimately ended up not using it though.

The Makita flat nozzle part # 197889-6 did not fit my Makita blower model # XBU03Z. I bought my blower in June of 2020. I researched the correct flat nozzle attachment on the Makita website and purchased the part on Amazon after clicking on a link that brought me to the part's page on Amazon from the Makita website. The part that arrived has legit Makita packaging, and the part label references the correct part # (197889-6). The part I received looks like the part in the pictures on both Amazon and on the Makita site. It does not fit because the attachment is narrower/smaller (not by much, but there is no way to force it to fit, it's too small) than the blower tube it is supposed to attach to.

Works as intended, I dont know how much better this actually is compared to the round tip but it works
