Great low cost dial caliper
For the cost, this is a great value. There’s certainly higher precision, higher quality options available, but I was looking for something that was close enough, wouldn’t upset me if I lost them, and I don’t feel like I have to handle it carefully. Overall, I’m really happy with this.

Very good value and quality
I’m use to high quality measuring instruments. This is very cost effective tool with enough accuracy for the average diy home garage. I don’t think you can beat the price, I was surprised how well it works and accuracy. I would recommend unless you need extreme accuracy of a machine shop environment.

Good Calipers - Case is Hard Plastic
First, Calipers are good quality. They are not the perfect set. They feel a little rough when turning the wheel, which I imagine will loosen over time. I would grade them 90-95% overall. They will suit my needs. A great value for the cost compared to others. The case image in the listing clearly implies foam insert, this is not true. The case is completely hard plastic. There are two posts with foam tips to hold them in place. They work moderately okay. If your case is going to be jostled it will not protect your calipers long term. All that being said for mid $20USD, I would buy them again.

This is the one you are looking for
It’s a dial caliper. It’s built tight, and has acceptable accuracy. No battery to be dead when you need it. Much easier to read than a vernier caliper. Excellent price for quality level. In my business, I burn through 3 or 4 of these a year (lost, stolen, give away to junior mechanics, etc.) so I keep these on my list for re-orders.

HFS(RR 0-6" Imperial Caliper
I actually purchased this by mistake and have not yet and will not use it on a project because I plan to return it. But I did notice a couple of things as I examined it in detail. The knurled thumb wheel has much looseness and play and is held in place by a black plastic piece which is attached to the sliding body but is not an integral part thereof. That is a no-no! It is going to break. Furthermore, it appears that the pointer has a gentle curve to it, in other words, it is slightly bent. Also the motion of the pointer is jerky and erratic; it appears to be touching the plastic crown in places as it rotates. It is not smooth and is difficult to lock into a particular value. This is a real draw back of poorly made plastic crowns. Maybe this one I received is a fluke because there are many better reviews from other customers. I must say that it is very heavy and the tracking seems nice and tight and always goes back to zero, at least for the few times I've checked that property. The plastic case is excellent in that there are two rubber tipped posts that press the caliper into position to keep it from moving around in the case, when the lid is snapped shut. When it closes it stays closed, unlike the plastic case for my more expensive Fowler which requires placing gum bands around the case. It seems as accurate as any calipers I've used, certainly to within 0.0005", and is repetitive. However, in my opinion, no fully mechanical caliper should ever have a plastic piece supporting such a critical part as the Thumb wheel. I cannot give more than 3 stars.

Eash to read
I'm getting old and it is just too hard to read the old vernier calipers I have anymore. So far the dial calipers are just what I needed.
