This is a bright and wonderful light.
This is a great new addition in our laundry room. I purchased a smaller one for above the kitchen sink and discovered this 36" one! It lights up the laundry room perfectly. Easy to install (except for being above your head!) as it's only 3 wires. Turn it on and WALA - bright light! It really works well, you won't be disappointed! It does not flicker at all, just bright light.

3 foot strip does the job.
The light isn't too difficult to install, but it has to be wired to an electrical cable. In my case, that was easy because I already had power to that location from our old light strip. The light has to be opened up by prying the cover off. I have a screwdriver with a nice wide but thin blade that worked well. A small chisel would be perfect for this. Once open the wiring was easily done and the strip was mounted with a few measurements, and a drill gun made quick work of installing the screws that hold the light to the underside of my kitchen cabinet. The only thing I didn't like was my fault. I didn't understand that I needed a dimmer for it if I wanted that capability. (It says dimmable on the box. Duh! :-) )It was not a big deal. I have a dimmer hooked up now and it does flicker somewhat when dimmed really low, but works better if just a little brighter. That isn't the light's fault though. Overall, my wife and I are thrilled to finally have a better light over our countertop. Since that light provides light to our living room as well, the dimming feature is a must. This light is BRIGHT when not dimmed.

Super bright. Ground wire is TOO SHORT
We'd been wanting to replace the dull, dingy, stained, very hot-running undercabinet lighting our house came with basically since we bought our house 8 years ago. An electrician had initially estimated the replacement cost at 2k, which was ridiculous. I'm all for paying skilled trades people an honest and fair wage, but that was redonk. This all told was about $155 and a solid 90 minutes of work. Our existing lights were all 21 inches, and we had 5 total in the kitchen. I started off thinking we'd do an exact replacement, then changed my mind. We went with different lengths and now have 2 21 inch lights, 2 24 inch lights, and 1 36 inch light. Wow! What a difference. It really is day and night. The installation process was not terrible, but it could have been much better. First, the green ground wire is way too short in all the lengths. That made it super challenging to get connected. We ended up having to splice 3 of the 5 fixtures we installed. The white wires for the most part were a good length- a bit of slack, not overly short or long. The black wires were way too long, which made it difficult to get all of the wires tucked into the case after connecting everything. This was especially difficult on the 21 inch fixtures, as they had less space. The 36" fixture was a breeze to install. It was also the last one we did. The metal backs of the fixtures have plenty of punch out options, and are easily popped out with a flat screwdriver and a hammer. Getting the fixture disassembled for installation was also challenging- if you have arthritis or mobility issues, you may not be able to push hard enough to release the light from the case. The cover and the light itself both need to be removed in order to install the metal back of the light. Overall though we're very pleased to have brighter, cooler, and hopefully less expensive lights to run for task work. They dim nicely, and at their dimmest setting, are about as bright as the old lights, if that gives any indication. Oh! One last thing- these lights are so bright that they will very clearly illuminate any areas on countertops that are in need of cleaning. Picture shows a new 21 inch light installed on the left, the old dim light on the right, and a very dirty ninja foodi grill lid.

Brightens Up the Kitchen
Simple cabinet lights that enhances the visual appeal of a kitchen. Slim profile and easy installation. Decent price too. I purchased the 36" and the 24" sizes and they are all identical in look, quality, and packaging.

Bright and easy to install.
We built our home back in 2001, 22 years ago. It came with several built-in kitchen under cabinet fluorescent fixtures. The bulbs were the T5 kind in various lengths, 24 inches, 21 inches and 12 inches. All was well until recently when a ballast went out. I could not find a replacement ballast due the old style, so I decided to replace them with new LED fixtures. I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t like to mix things up. I want the tires on a vehicle to all be the same, for example. Anyway, these fixtures looked good and had good reviews so I ordered several of the 4,000K, cool white ones. I learned that I could have kept the old fixtures, removed the ballasts, done a little rewiring and used LED tubes. I preferred to have new ones with the LED strips. I started them yesterday, Saturday, Sept. 9 and finished them Sunday morning. I did not go to church as I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago on Aug. 26, I kid you not. Total time from flipping the breaker, gathering my tools, removing the old fixtures, installing the new fixtures and returning my tools would be about 4.5 hours. Not bad for a 71-year-old man with Lupus and a recent heart attack survivor. Point being: they are not a problem to install. If I can do it, you can do it. One piece of advice I will give… rather than measure from the back of the under cabinet so the fixture is straight, I cut 2 small blocks of wood the right thickness and used Scotch tape to attach them to the back of the fixture. I held the fixture against the back and the blocks kept it correct and used the supplied screws. I used a B&D battery screwdriver to put the screws in and did not need to drill a pilot hole. Blocks were then removed and on to the next one. All necessary hardware was included with them. I like the fact that they each have an on/off switch, left in the “on” position, as a wall switch controls them. But I can turn them all off but one to use as a night light. They are bright and above all - my wife likes them.

A nice fixture
This is replacing a 30 year old Halogen fixture. This fixture is VERY nice! I like the 5k color of the light!

Good Product, But Some Issues
I purchased the 18, 24 and 36 inch light fixtures with 3000K light. The light fixtures are well made, and I am very satisfied with the quality. The 3000K light is bright, and this temperature brings out the colors in the counter top granite. It's a neutral, warm white color without the yellow color of the 2700K version. Shipping was an issue. These products shipped in an elongated box with no packing material. The 18 and 24 inch light fixtures arrived in good condition. However, the 36 inch fixture was damaged. Apparently, the additional weight of this size allows the metal casing to be damaged when dropped on it's end. I returned the 36 inch fixture, but the replacement was sent in the same box, again without any packing material, and it was also damaged at the end of the fixture. (Minus 1 star.) Product information says, 'Hawk Lighting is committed to providing each customer with the highest standard of customer service.' Also, they claim 'US based customer service'. Good luck with this. I have written to the seller, but received no response after several days. I also tried (without success) to get in contact with Hawk Lighting which lists several locations in southern California. I found a telephone number, but it was disconnected. (Minus 1 star.) Depending on your situation, installation might be a challenge. While there are a few knock outs in the metal casing (you can see locations in the diagram), most of these are 1/2 inch. There is only 1 knock out for a 3/4 inch connector located just off center. If you have multiple lights on a circuit, and have 2 Romex cables coming out of your wall, you will need a 3/4 inch knock out. In my case, the cables exit from a granite backsplash and they must align with the knock out on the light fixture, but they do not. This required drilling 7/8 inch holes in the light fixture to be able to mount it in the proper location under the cabinets. Additionally, there is a mating piece on the light fixture that also needs to be ground down to allow for a cable connector to be used. All this additional work could have been avoided if the manufacturer had additional 3/4 inch knock outs on the ends of the fixture. That would have made the product suitable for most homes in the US. (Minus 1 star.)
