Worked as advertised. Removed the compression rings without damaging the copper tubing and allowed me to install new stops with new compression rings without any leaks. Fits North American compression ring threaded nuts. Useful tool to have in my plumbing tool kit.

Very useful tool. It's well made and worked perfectly for me. It's just the right size for the copper pipe that feeds a lot of toilets. Also, there are lots of videos out there showing people how to use this tool so don't be shy. This tool is very easy to use. If you need to remove that old sleeve from the pipe, you need this tool so you don't damage the pipe. It also arrived quickly.

I am an advanced DIYer but plumbing is my nemesis. Overhauling a bathroom, both of the 60 year old 1/2" compression shutoffs for the faucet began dripping not long after pulling the vanity out, about a gallon per day each. They were shot. From past experience, I knew removing the old ferrules was a potential problem, so I ordered this tool. Removing the old valves was easy, then I threaded this puller into the back nut. About 15 turns later, the old nut and ferrule were off! The tool did exactly what it was supposed to do. As a tool nerd, it doesn't have the feel of a "professional" puller. The threading was a bit loose and coarser and it probably wouldn't hold up to everyday, long term use. But for a DIY guy, it's exactly what I needed, at a reasonable price. I do suggest using some WD40 on the shaft threads to smooth things out but that should not detract from the tool's performance. I cut back the copper to before the old ferrule's location, cleaned it, and installed new 1/4 turn valves. Turned the water back on, and had no leaks whatsoever. For the price and function, it earns five stars.

Used the compression sleeve puller today to remove four under sink valves. Plumbing is not my favorite home improvement project since it usually takes longer than expected, involves a trip or two to the big box stores and sometimes inevitably ends up with an expensive plumber at my house to fix the mess I create. Armed with this tool, some helpful videos on YouTube and four push-on Shark Grip caps, this project was a snap. The tool itself is very easy to use and the directions are pretty straightforward. I like that it was the metal tool was well made and durable. Once you screw the nut of the shutoff valve onto the end of the tool, a couple turns later and the compression nut slides right off your 1/2-inch pipe. The tool is also not very large, so it would work well in tight spaces such as under a bathroom sink. I feel like I should use this tool to replace all of my shutoff valves now since it made it so easy.
