I really enjoyed making this mermaid. The instructions were easy to follow. She is going to charity as I cannot keep everything I make. I hope she makes a child very happy. I made her mainly in the colours of the pattern but you could interpret her how you wish. I recommend.

I have used Jean Greenhowe's patterns for many years and loved them. However this one is quite disappointing and not up to the standard that I expected. Sorry.

I always look forward to receiving a new Jean Greenhowe book and this was no disappointment, fabulous, quirky and easy to knit patterns - I especially love the knitters desert island with balls of wool growing on trees!

I have most of Jean Greenhow's books/patterns, but this one was a bit disappointing. I bought it as I wanted the mermaid pattern, but the other toys in the book are a rather odd collection, including a cowbiy and cowgirl, ladybirds, cars and some random halloween pumpkins. The booklet itself is the usual good quality and the patterns are clearly printed with all the necessary, simple instructions. I specifically wanted this particular pattern as I said, but if I had just bought this to expand my pattern collection, I might have been tempted to return it, as I can't see me making anything else in this book.
