Excellent product generally plus the one time that package below standard it was replaced gratis ( real customer service)

Some of the wood is very good, but there were a lot of knots in my wood purchase

Great for kids to start crafting. Good sizes and range of shapes.

After buying what seemed a very small amount of balsa from Hobbycraft, they seem to be very good value. Balsa is becoming very expensive anyway but they should keep me going for awhile.

The corners were somewhat rounded and the thickness of the balsa were overall too high. Far too many very thick pieces and far too many thin pieces. This would be great for some huge project but none too useful for anything fine or small. Rather than spend an eternity cutting the pieces down I chose to return the pack. I could not find a breakdown of the sizes in the listing, I expected some 1/16th sq or 1/8 sq pieces, there were none.

The balsa arrived really quick, the only thing is that I ordered two on seperate occassions and was expecting each one to be the same. However the second was different, in that the sizes of the balsa in each pack are different, so you don't know what your getting. This ment I had to get other sizes elsewhere or cut down pieces to finish a model I had started. But for general modelling there is a good selection in each pack and I think value for money
