Grenade Milk Chocolate Protein Spread, 1 x 360 g Jar

This is great, a good replacement for high-sugars chocolate spread. It spreads just like other chocolate spreads, same consistency. It doesn't taste as sweet, but still very nice and satisfies the craving.

It feels effective enough for a quick snack and has a nice bit of nutrients so it is not just empty sugar. Texture is smooth and spreads easy. I used it on toast and sometimes just a spoon which makes it simple to use when I want something fast. The jar is not that big so it goes fast if you like it too much. It is filling enough for a small snack but not something that will keep you full for long. Protein is there but honestly I just enjoy the taste. Works well as a spread and feels like a treat with a small bonus. Good quality overall and I would buy it again.

I've been looking for a good replacement for chocolate to have for keto. Cadbury makes this stuff and cleverly replaces the sugars with keto friendly sweeteners. Got the 3 flavours on Amazon. Arrived at 4pm today. My spoon came out to try them all. All 3 taste AMAZING. I thought "Holy Grail" and I heard trumpets sound in the sky. Little did I realise that the trumpets were actually being blown by the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse. No wonder this stuff is named "Grenade". It's the perfect weapon / diet food. The force of expulsion makes for a clean exit wound and prevents clogging of the toilet. Now I know how they did that cafe scene in "Bad Grandpa". Once I have successfully retrieved my intestines and liver from the bowl, I will put the jars away and try to remember that moderation is key. Still totally worth it. *Health note* Remember to regularly get up from sitting on the loo seat to prevent deep vein thrombosis.

Nice taste but price double in a month. Last month it used to be 3.50 and now it's 7 pounds .

Obviously, this is not Nutella. So don't go expecting it to taste like it. Personally, I do not like Nutella or any of the store bought chocolate spreads, so I was rather surprised at the taste of Grenade. It gets a bit gooey at room temperature but that is easily remedied by putting it in the fridge and merely taking it out a few minutes before using. The spread has a distinctly 'protein-supplement'-ish taste about it but that's fine by me (although the crunchy version tastes less chemical). Largely because of the price I suspect that the protein sources used are rather inferior to that of high-end protein shakes etc., but that matters little because the spread is meant to be a snack, not a 'real' supplement. I found it especially tasty if put on banana or apple. It would be nice if they tried to avoid using palm oil though. Alas, that would also mean i would be more expensive.

I can't have Nutella or others with Hazlenuts in them, because of a severe allergy. So I tried this as an alternative.... and its pretty freaking good. Definitely a good idea to have some milk or something when you put it on bread and eat it. But I really like it. I'll definitely be buying it again.

My husband bought this chocolate spread in the hopes that the kids and I would eat less of the popular hazelnut spread. Well, I bought a second jar of this product and never looked back! It's on the expensive side so we keep it for weekends, but it tastes ok and if you're health conscious, this is a great replacement. Everybody in our family likes it. I specially like the fact that it doesn't create the same sweets cravings as the spread we were eating before.
