Works great for JRT
Excellent fit. And my JRT mix can't rub it off his face. Comfortable and doesn't irritate. Easy to put on and remove. Breathable so it works in hot and cold weather. Good design. Durable even for a rowdy pup.

Perfect fit
Great summer muzzle. Lots of air flow & allows the dog to easily drink while wearing. Used on an American Staffordshire breed. Fit dimensions were perfect for a big block head. Super durable, but lasted about 2 months due to the wear & tear of dog not liking a muzzle in general. Would buy again for sure because price is right for a muzzle that lasts as long as it did for this dog.

Dog muzzle
Muzzle was large enough to fit my 3 month old Irish Wolfhound. The mesh made it easy for him to breathe. The reason I bought this was because he would eat a large amount of grass clippings when we were outside going potty. He would then get sick for a whole day. I did not leave it on while he ate his dog food and drank his water and had no fear of him biting. It worked for the short time I did use it to train him not to eat the bad stuff.

Fitting is difficult
I like this muzzle a lot. The mesh is flexible but seems strong enough to last. I did not notice any bad smell, but I did soak it for a while in warm water. There is a little extra room at the nose end that my rescue Beagle has enough room to open his mouth. It can be adjusted to fit and does not need to be attached to a collar, though a collar would make it more secure. Since my dog was a rescue from a pup mill, I could almost guarantee he was raised in a dirty kennel with too many dogs and not enough food. Eating the feces was learned young, and he will not stop on his own. Any poo will do. The bigger problem is he has shown my new dog how to do it. It needs to stop now. His measurements were at the very lowest end for the “s” size…8-1/2 around and 2-1/2 long, so this size fits, but loosely. Loose enough he can paw it off. Tightening the strap pulls the mesh right into his eyes. I sewed a single stitch to tighten the mesh near his throat, not too tight to choke, and allowing plenty of room for him to open his mouth. He only needs to wear it for a few minutes at a time, but I do want it to stay on. If this works, I will make the stitch stronger and permanent. If not, the supplier promises to send a smaller size at no extra charge. That promise of support for a product I already like assures the top rating in my book. The photo shows the size chart, and the white mark next to the “s” is where I added a stitch. This is working very well. He dives into the muzzle for his treat bit, gives a half hearted shake of his head, then runs out to the yard. Easy.

Their sizing is not accurate!
I bought the first Mayerzon muzzle in a size XSmall. It fit my dog, but with the hot weather I thought I should buy her the next size up so she could have more room to pant with her tongue out because the XSmall was rather close to her mouth. The next size up is a Small. I ordered the Small but it’s so much bigger that it covers her eyes. It’s really big to be a size Small! It’s more like a size Medium. I really liked the fabric of the Mayerzon muzzle because it’s very soft but very sturdy! The other brand I bought my dog started to wear out soon anfter she started wearing it, and soon had a hole in it where she’d sniff the ground and the hole got bigger and bigger. It started a hole almost immediately, but this Mayerzon muzzle is very sturdy. It’s just their sizing that is not accurate. They need to redo their sizing!

Buy this muzzle. It's gentle and it WILL stop destructive chewing.
She (the GSD who destroys EVERYTHING!) has been wearing it for two hours with a 30 minute break. I took it off so she could have supper and a new chew treat that the OTHER dogs are still slowly crunching on. This girl ate her 12 inch long, two inch diameter collagen cronchy stick from Costco in less than 5 minutes. Then she went prowling to steal the other dogs. The miniature poodle ran into her crate with hers (smart move) and the chi/poodle puppy is sitting at mommy's feet with his (try stealing it from ME now, hah!) and big sis is wearing her lightweight yet very effective muzzle and even if she can get close to the other treats, she can't steal them. This was worth every penny. She can drink with it and she can breath with it and has stopped trying to claw it off and is very calmly napping now. My baseboards are saved and so is my sanity, and tonight I will see if it survives the night with her wearing it in her play pen. If so, I can trust her outside of her playpen tomorrow night. I spent over a thousand dollars repairing my baseboards only to have her chew up another one in my bedroom this week. I repaired it with glue, wood putty and paint, but this has got to stop. She's two years old and I spend more on her chew treats than I do on my groceries, and yes, we play outside too. She's just bored, and naughty. ***** Update: Be sure to keep it OUT of reach when not using. The brat got a hold of it and destroyed the buckle. Guess who had to order another one? This time I'm going to make sure she can't get a hold of it. She will have to cool her jets in her crate now when I can't supervise her until the new one arrives.

Very comfortable for the dog
This was a great purchase. It's very lightweight and comfortable for her. She can even lap some water through it, and barking, panting & sniffing was easy. The instructions were to give your dog treats in the basket of the muzzle at least five time before putting it on the dog, and that was a good start. She was eager to look inside the muzzle every time. Then I had her wear it for short intervals with lots of praise and treats, spread over a week. Then one longer spell where she actually took a short nap while wearing it. Then we had a party, ten people she didn't know wandering around the house (we gave tours of our renovation). She was fairly friendly with the muzzle on, which surprised us. One of the guests was someone she had bitten in the past, and he said he felt very secure with her wearing the muzzle. About four hours into the party, she pulled the muzzle off herself. She didn't bother anyone then, she already knew them and was comfortable with them by then. She went to sleep in a chair during the party after that. People said later that they really enjoyed meeting the dogs at the party! (We have a second dog who is much friendlier to strangers). I had bought another very expensive muzzle before this one, and it was too heavy and uncomfortable for her. she was miserable in that one, and this one was so inexpensive! So glad I tried it out!

Mostly effective: From poop eating to poop smashing.
For the price point I say this does a pretty decent job. I got this so I can lift the self-imposed ban of my heeler mix from the local 40 acre dog park. She loves the dog park but has a very bad poop eating problem which is currently exacerbated by the meds she is on. The muzzle mostly does the trick. She wasn’t able to eat poop but it didn’t stop her from smashing the front of the muzzle into 2 piles. Gross!! Knocking a star off as it’s not fully scavenger proof and she was able to lick feces through the small holes. Also cleaning the poopy muzzle in the sink afterwards was not fun…but again decent value for the money as a custom muzzle through a speciality shop with a scavenging guard would be 6 - 10xs the price.
