Alpine Electronics SXE-5725S 2 Way 5 x 7 Speakers (200 Watts), Schwarz

I purchased these speakers as a replacement for damaged speakers in a Mk7 Transit van. I had originally purchased a set from Halfords which sadly did not fit. The Alpine speaker however fitted perfectly, matching up faultlessly with the original mounting points. Excellent sound for the price point with great useable bass. More than capable for the original head unit. I would highly recommend these speaker, great buy.

(When first purchased) My overall rating for these is about 3 stars but that mainly comes down to more of the bass. With speakers like these dont expect that out of them. You'll get just a bit but not much. The treble (or the highs) you'll get out of these. If you run these speakers off from an after market headunit stereo then the speakers wont be as loud. You run these off an amp then they'll sound more louder and you can tweak them there. I decided to go with the cheaper option to see what the difference in sound quality was. Yes you will need the cable adaptors for these to work with factory harness (thats without an AMP) but there is a more technical ultimate way to use the factory connectors like I have done from the original speakers. (UPDATE - After 1 year of owning these coaxial speakers, I have done the sound deadening properly but only to one door at the moment and the mid-bass response now is much better than what it was before. Im actually quite happy that I went for the cheaper option based upon what I wanted) - Will give a proper review shortly once ive done my car... I have now done the sound deadening with one minor job to do. The mid-range difference is now much better and I think I would say that I would recommend these 5x7’s for if you’re not after anything expensive. With the sound deadening mats/dynamatt you dont need to put that everywhere - just a few here and there spaced apart as it will help with any unwanted vibration noises from the door.

Superb speakers ..great sound ..very East fit

Used these in an old Ford Ka. While there was a decent improvement in treble and clarity, there was a huge loss in midbass, which is typical of replacing speakers with aftermarket ones. Efficiency seemed around the same, no real gains or losses in volume. Great for replacing broken or worn out speakers but, if you're wanting an upgrade, I'd spend a bit more on something substantially better. An amplifier and/or a sub would definitely be recommended. For the price, hard to complain though. They are the bottom end of Alpines line up.

Good sound quality and very good value for money, a cheap alternative to buying Genuine Ford Ka Mk1 oval speakers if one becomes faulty, but you will need to buy separate adapter cables to join to Ford 2 pin plug.

Bought these to go in my Partner’s MX-5 as they had both stopped working. They were a perfect fit and sound much better than the originals. Great speakers and would highly recommend.

Colunas muito interessantes para o preço. Cumprem muito bem a função e uma clara melhoria face aos originais. Colocados num Mazda MX5-NB, foi uma substituição direta sem necessidade de qualquer furação adicional, utilizando também os suporte originais. Recomendado!
