Kilner 25.405 Garden Party beverage donors for a vintage drink service, 5 l

Lovely product, purchased for my home bar. I am planning to use for Pimms cocktails for future garden parties. I was a little concerned around the quality of the tap based on some of the reviews but I am happy. The tap is plastic but of a good quality and not flimsy. The glass jar is thick and looks like it will last forever. The brand name is part of the jar and his looks really good and I like that addition. On the top of product is a lid. This is used to pour in ice or drinks. The catch for the lid is vey similar to a kitchen storage jar and has a rubber seal. Great purchase, great price and I am very happy.

The tap came already set up. Lovely product. There was no leak at all. Unfortunately one of the two jars broke as one of my guest could not figure how to turn the tap on initially. Luckily I bought to with the idea of offering two different flavours. I love the product. Worth every penny spent. Will be purchasing more . I have already recommended the product to a friend.

Fantastic idea! This is my second one as I left the other one with a friend as they loved it so much. This is just a fantastic thing and well executed. You can make 5l of iced tea or squash or whatever, and easily dispense it with the high quality tap. It's a good way of making sure everyone drinks enough liquid, when simple water is just too boring. Perfect for the summer and parties. One weird thing that sometimes happens is that the vacuum seal of the lid is so good, that the vacuum pressure prevents the liquid from dispensing! All you have to do is release the lid for a second and it flows freely again. Also beware if you stuff too much mint or things into the drink that it will clog the tap, so you have to empty the whole thing to start again.

This is a good product. It does what I need but it should be noted that the tap is plastic. This may not be an issue but it might not wear as well as a metal tap. That being said... new taps are available should the one it comes with ever needs replacing.

I was looking for a glass water dispenser that I could add sliced fruit to as a healthier alternative to fruit juice and squash. I chose this as I like the Kilner brand and it looked good value for money, it's cheap! Despite this, it's extremely good quality. I read reviews that it leaked and that there was no instructions, but if you read the back of the Kilner tag it comes with, it explains how to use it! At first it leaked but it simply needed the tap unscrewing and the seal slightly adjusting, now it works perfectly. You do also need to remove the seal so that the water will flow. It looks great in my kitchen, I'm really pleased with it!

The first of these jars came in a box. The second I ordered came in bubble wrap which makes it look like a return? But it was sold as new? Looked pretty unused, so I'll keep it, but it would have been no good as a present, so bear that in mind. We have stopped using 1.5/2 litre plastic bottles of water, and purchased this 5 litre glass jar to dispense water to the family. I much prefer the idea of glass to a plastic container, knowing how plastic can deteriorate when exposed to light. When I think I am using technology that's nearly 180 years old, that's tried and tested all over the world, that was invented too in Yorkshire, I am awe struck. I know from 'Who Do You Think You Are?' that John Kilner the inventor is a great great great great grandfather of Jeremy Clarkson too...all this contained in this modest kitchen appliance. Delighted!

Disappointed by the plastic tap.. I bought this for laundry fabric conditioner but to actually get the liquid out of the Tap you have to open the clip top lid or it won’t let liquid out…. Kind of defeats the object as then things can get in… I have lots of Kilner products but extremely disappointed by this product
