Kryptonite 884 Keeper 5 S2 Motorbike Cycle Disc Lock with Reminder Cable - Yellow

Bought this as a backup to my Oxford Disc Locks / Alarms after stumbling on customer reviews on motorbike forums stating how well made and tough these locks are. Certainly has some weight too it as well. Professional lock smiths taking hours to drill them off rather than the average 10-15 mins others take. The Lock barrel is solid in the housing and does not wobble like others so removal is quick and easy with the key, rather than fighting with other products to get the dam key to turn. Just wish they made an Alarmed version too as would buy it in a heart beat. I'll be buying some of their other motorbike chains / lock in the future. Fantastic product. Thanks guys.

Bought myself a Honda PCX125 (2019 model) a few weeks ago and found that the old disc-lock I used to use on my motorcycles had too big a pin to fit the scooter, so I bought this..... With its 5.5mm pin, it fits my scooter perfectly and seems like a well made lock. It came with a reminder cable although I'd have preferred a little carry pouch for it instead, but that's just me. This is the second Kryptonite lock I've bought in the last few months (the other was a bicycle U-lock & cable) and I'm happy with both. It won't stop a determined thief, nor prevent my scooter being lifted into a van...… but I live in Edinburgh where the thieves are not that determined, and not that strong!

This is just a disc lock & doesn't have a built in alarm. The lock isn't too heavy for its size, but I wouldn't carry it in my pocket, so & I made a carrying bracket for it. Kryptonite was listed on my insurance OK list.

This lock has saved my bike from being stolen! The thief’s really tried hard to break this lock but it stayed strong although the locking mechanism is now a bit tough so have to order another lock just to be safe.

Works a treat. It stopped some little horror stealing my bike this evening. He was seen hitting the lock with a hammer. My brake disk is wrecked, but the lock still works fine!

First the bright colour stands out so you don't forget if I didn't use the minder cable that can be fitted to the pin barrel, amazing thing about is a pocket size in addition another lock if I wanted to go shopping and return my vehicle is there where I left it. Pocket size friendly is a plus not taking too much space, looking a sturdy lock with out breaking the bank balance. Effectively on Talaria Sting R, works on hybrid with disc brakes most of I used on 125cc moped fits disc with drilled holed. The trouble I had issue cause of spring locked and the key can't take out when is unlocked I have key on lanyard so when taking it off it would dangle heavily round my lock compare to another brand works both ways unlock and key out then lock up system. For the price as additional security for length of time its do-able. No lock is fool proof, for short trips, the brand and peace of mind why not get one. Last thing want to mention weather proofing I found a slight stiffness in the lock, but can be achieved with lubricant in extreme weathers

Had this on for a year or so....easy to put on and take off. really difficult to judge these until the bike is stolen....These are more as a deterrent than anything and slow the bike thieves down. yes...its probably relatively easy to grind through with a grinder but then if a dedicated thief is targeting a very high value bike then your hard pushed to do much other than....park it in a well lit area with CCTV or in an enclosed secure location.
