Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Case, Black

A good cheap & basic case to protect your hard drives. It feels strongly made, plenty of space within it and is a good black colour.

This is my second Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Case — and for good reason. It’s sturdy, compact, and fits my drive perfectly with room for cables. The zipper is smooth, and the padding gives great protection. Reliable quality at a great price. I’d happily buy a third!

This is a quality case and is great value for money. Unfortunately, it is too roomy for my device.

Purchased this to compliment my new Laptop with a more up to date and quicker back up. Had older b ulker Back up device, which ahs been good, but like everything else technology improves and with that yoy geyt a reduced foot print with any device. This is excellent quick fast, no s/w invloved, plug and pay. You get your back ups done very efficiently. Great value and functiona;lly very good.

Very tough strong, and does and will protect what's inside, I have dropped this many times with any real damage, damage that will destroy what's inside, so it serves its purpose, very light slim and so strong, would recommend, cleans easy. James Brown - Liverpool - UK, true Amazon reviewer.

Good product for a great price

The shell was pretty sturdy, and looks and feels like it's made well. There's no loose stitching or stray threads anywhere. My WD hard drive also fits pretty well within the strap, and there's just enough room to store a couple of cables in the opposite shell. All in all a decent purchase for the price I paid and I'll likely buy a few more for my other hard drives.

I have multiple external hard-drives, some of them are bulky and are meant to keep a backup at home. Some of them are smaller ones which I use to carry my photos and other files around with me while I am traveling or transporting data between home and office. Two of them are small 1TB and 2TB USB3.0 hard-drives. I wanted to buy a case for them. After considering a lot of hard and soft cases from various sellers, I stumbled upon this and thought of giving it a try. And it was a wise decision !!! As I always say, Amazon Basics items are equivalent (if not better) to quality in other comparable items from different manufacturers and yet they are available at almost half the price (and sometimes even lesser than that). I have many of the Amazon Basics items and I am not unhappy with any of them. And this is no exception. A few good things: 1. The exterior is pretty hard and you can rest assured that your HDD will be protected even if this case is buried deep down in the luggage. 2. Soft interior makes sure that the HDD stays safe even if there is some pressure on it from other items in the luggage. 3. This case is made for HDD which do not require an external power because there is not much space inside for any adapter. However, there is a mesh pocket which can be used to store the USB cod safely. 4.Even if its hard and durable, the case is pretty light-weight and wont ad much weight to your luggage. 5. Although its advertised for Western Digital My Passport but it can be used to store other USB powered HDDs which are up to 5 inches in dimension. I have one of these for my Seagate 1 TB HDD. 6. It also has an elastic band to hold the HDD securely in the case while in use. 7. The zipper is of very good quality and will not fail on you anytime soon. Cons: The only disadvantage I can think of this case is that there is none. If I have to count one, I would say it would have been better had they made a small zipper pocket inside the case (which would be of great use to photographers like me to also store their memory cards in it while on a trip. All in all, this is an excellent case at excellent price. AMAZONBASICS DOES IT AGAIN !!!!!
