Best umbrella I've bought in a while. Sturdy, elegant, great quality and spacious. Withstands heavy rains and wind. Very easy to open and perfect weight.

Not yet used but seems sturdy enough.

Feels a good sturdy design, but I haven't yet tried in in windy weather. Comfortable to hold. Loses a star as some of the brown varnish flaked off the handle on first use, revealing the pale coloured wood undereath

This is a really good quality and very good value brolly with style and panache to go with its utility.

Great in the rain and great in the sun no rain gets thru no matter how hard its raining comes with uv protection its light and easy to carry

Got this just before Christmas at a special price of less than £15. Great umbrella and fantastic value for money. OK, it's not a Fox, but it's pretty good at approx. a TENTH of the price!

The umbrella arrived in perfects shape, well protected in shipping. It opens / closes smoothly; the "mechanism" looks like it is going to last; the wooden handle looks a bit fragile and will probably show scratches easily, but you can either keep on the original seal supplied by the manufacturer or coat the handle with some poly for the extra protection. Yes, it is made in China (What do you expect for the price?), and I have looked at other options, but they were out of my budget, and the quality did not seem that much better. While this is not the fanciest umbrella I have seen, it seems to be a very good quality for the cost. I cannot wait to gift it to the recipient!

I've been buying these for over a decade, only because I occasionally forget them somewhere and honestly can't blame anyone for taking the ones I've left behind. The double ribs on these are so strong I've only ever had them flip once (and that was during a very powerful wind storm), and when they did, they popped back into shape perfectly without a fuss. All manual operation, which is a plus to me because it's fewer things that can fail, opens with a satisfying WHUFF and keeps me dry and looking cool. Elegant, classic, very durable, and very reasonably priced for such a good product. Now if I could just remember to take them with me after it stops raining...

Parapluie classique qui a l'air assez costaud.

Ce parapluie est pratique, je l'ai choisi parce qu'il est grand (91 cm), il est large (109 cm, ce qui est suffisant pour abriter deux personnes), il est renforcé pour résister au vent et à une météo agitée toute britannique (8 baleines doublées chacune par un renfort supplémentaire, un mat en acier de 14 mm de diamètre), il reste léger malgré tout. Sa seule faiblesse, c'est sa poignée, elle est en bois mais de mauvaise qualité, sorte d’aggloméré, trop tendre et qui marque facilement, de même la pellicule de peinture imitation bois véritable qui la recouvre s’érafle au moindre choc. J'ai trouvé au BHV un feutre marron Stabilo (feutre Pen 68 - Terre d'ombre - n°65) dont la nuance correspond idéalement à cette teinte, et ainsi je peux masquer les imperfections qui apparaissent au fur et à mesure, c'est embêtant mais d'un autre côté cela donne plus de noblesse au parapluie, cela l'embellit, cela donne l'impression que le bois a des nervures, ce qui rend son aspect plus naturel, c'est amusant et ça marche. Et puis compte tenu du prix, en dessous de 30 € en dépit de ce petit inconvénient, c'est un parapluie qui tient le coup et la route, avec de la durabilité, il qui protège bien de la pluie, et il ne se retourne pas, ce qui est son emploi premier. En somme, j'en suis très satisfait. Et à ce prix là, je le recommande!
