Skar Audio RP-600.5 Full-Range 700-Watt 5-Channel Class AB/D Car Amplifier

Purchased this RP-600.5 to run my whole system in my 16 Ram crew cab. Its running kicker 3.5 dash speakers, skar 6.5 coaxials in the front doors, skar 6x9 rear door coaxials, and a MTX Series 55 10" DVC sub. I first had it hooked to a Skar EV10 inch sub and it sounded ok but the prefabbed box for under the seat was too big so I ended up buying the MTX 55 DVC sub with dual 2ohm voice coils I'm running in parallel to the sub channel at 1ohm. It sounds twice as good and really pushes the sub and has been stable. The amp works flawlessly and has many nice features for the price. I am very happy with the RP-600.5. especially being able to run 1ohm stable on the sub channel. Amp is super quiet and I am not picking up turn on noises, induction noises, or any kind of distortion.

I recently bought an '06 Jeep Wrangler that the amp and subwoofer had been stolen out of. I bought this amp to power 6 speakers and a 10" JL Audio sub. Skar customer service was great. I'm not a stereo install 'expert' but can usually figure most things out. I first contacted them and asked if I could wire the dash speakers and roll bar speakers in parallel and run all four off of channels 1 and 2. I emailed them on a Sunday and had a response in an hour or so. Skar informed me that each channel could operate at a different ohm range as long as that ohm range was within the amps specifications. My parrallel configuration yielded 2 ohms of resistance and so Skar said no problem. So I'm running 4 speakers as my fronts on channels 1 and 2 and 2 additional speakers as my rears on channels 3 and 4. Then the sub on channel 5. After tuning the amp's gains it sounds AWESOME!! At first when I hooked everything up I wasn't getting anything from the sub. I again contacted Skar and they gave me a list of 4 or 5 things to check AND started a warranty claim in case it turned out to be a problem with the amp. Turns out the problem was with me. I didn't have my head unit configured correctly to send sub signal to the amp. I corrected my error and.....wow....this system rocks!

Bought July 2023. I blast it regularly and haven't had a problem in 2 years now. I built a table to use as a stealth mounting rack into my trunk to match the height of two low pro boxes with with a passive radiator and a 12 in each. The table is like a speaker box with no sides basically and the top and bottom held are together by five 2" diameter dowels with screw locks all wrapped to match the boxes that fit in on either side to make a false floor. This amp just happened to fit the available space on the rack perfect. I used computer box fans to vent everything if you're like, but what about heat? So if you need a good cheap amp that's a lot more long than wide or if you just need a cheap amp that'll fully power a small 4 speaker, one sub system it's a reasonable choice. I haven't had any problems with it as of this writing and I play it pretty hard with four 90w speakers and a punchy little 8" 300w free air rear deck sub for mids. It's a good value. Don't expect to blow hair but if you set it up right your neighbors may just start to hate you.

I needed a system for my Project and decided on Skar, mainly for the reviews the Company had which turned out to be not only a Great Amp but an Awesome Company to deal with. Called Skar on several occasions for help and every Tech I spoke too took their time and were all very polite and extremely helpful! After around 4 calls to Skar and finally finishing up the wiring, I had a an issue with my amp (or so I thought) and they sent me a new one (2 days), I felt bad because it ended up being my fault. My new Pioneer stereo settings had The subwoofer setting set to OFF and I thought Channel 5 was bad. I highly recommend Skar products, great company to deal with.
