Original Beagle

I bought this after my 19-year-old beagle had to be put down due to her age finally catching up with her. I will admit that the craftsmanship on it is so good that I have occasionally mistaken it for being alive. It seems to be based on a beagle puppy rather than an adult. The bed that it comes with is soft and might even be suitable for a real puppy. I do wish that the pet itself was more flexible, as it is fixed into the sleeping position and most of it is very stiff. Other reviews mention that the breathing makes a weird sound, but I personally think that it sounds pretty accurate, like steady snoring. It is also not too loud or intrusive. A switch to toggle the breathing would be nice, though. The carrier box is pretty durable. It is made of some kind of thin cardboard with stiff properties, but I do not expect it to last forever, since it is paper-like and may crumble if exposed to water.

Almost a year ago my wife and I lost our little beagle girl to old age. She was 16 years old. We miss her every day. My wife got me this little beagle doggie as a gift to remind me of our little girl. This hand finished sleeping and breathing pup is of great quality and you can see it was crafted with care. It's so cute and also the coat colors are vibrant and shiny, like a real dog. All of it is very well made including it's little doggie bed. It also came with a little dog brush and an adoption certificate so you can name your puppy. I'd recommend this for children or adults who love dogs and for this one, especially beagle dogs. It makes a great gift. Years ago, my Mom gave me one, but it was a golden retriever pup. That one still runs great and looks new! Great products, no matter which pet you choose.

He's adorable and very realistic looking. I wish he were flexible and body parts movable so I can play with him more. It be perfect if he was warm.

Pros: my 91 year old client has dementia and she loves it and thinks she's real. The breathing looks real. Very soft fur!! Things I wish were different- so there's a D battery in it and no on/off switch so in order for me to change the battery I have to cut the fabric open to change it. The fabric is glued down and not an easy task to change it. Dog is very stiff even tail and ears so if she were to touch that I think she'd know it was fake however, she thinks the dog is sleeping and only pets it 💜 so overall in my situation it has been a positive experience and brought so much joy into my client's life. Also, says it'll keep breathing for 2 months, I got it 6 days ago and the breathing rapidly changed and is making weezing sounds and getting slower. It is well made and not flimsy at all. 💜

Such poor quality.. the bundled brush is so hard and if my daughter uses it frequently on this it will go bald. She dropped the pet from a height of 2 feet and see the dent on the nose.. so poor quality. The battery compartment is so untidy and had i seen a pic of the base i would have never bought it. 600 for shipping globally and 1k customs got this to 3.4k and is a complete waste. For scale ive also put aside a TV remote and isnt much bigger.
