Wipe Clean: First Sums (Usborne Wipe Clean Books)

My daughter is in reception and this is exactly what she's been learning at school. The wipe-clean aspect is well-known to be great as children don't have to worry about making mistakes. But this book even uses the wipe-clean idea to illustrate subtraction. The ideas are well laid out and build up slowly. The first page is about adding 1. Children have to count what's in the picture, draw one more thing and then add them together. The next page goes up to higher numbers, the next explores the various sums which all add up to 10 and so on. My daughter got this today at the end of a long week and has just spent a full hour working through the pages she likes it so much. Can't get her to sit that long for her homework!

Must have book, brought for my 4 year old, educational and re usable and good price and because it plastic covered is safe from my youngest ripping it up, I have also brought the other wipe clean books from the set, also works with other white board markers and crayola pens

These books ( I bought a few including the tellingthe time and first words) are such a good buy. My wee boy has been so well entertained by them and they are so handy to take places to keep children busy rather than plonking a phone or iPad in front of them!

Great for home schooling

My five year old grand daughter loved this and the other Usborne wipe clean books we gave her as part of her birthday gift. They encourage learning while having fun. The fact that they wipe clean, means that they have good longevity and can be revisited.

These wipe clean books are great as mistakes can be simply wiped away. Can be used over and over again and make learning fun. Highly recommend

This is a great book for kids just getting familiar with numbers, but minus marks for the seller because ours arrived without the pen. Thankfully we had another of these wipe-clean books, so we were able to use that pen for this book. The book also arrived dog-eared and looking a little worse for wear.
