Great gel and easy to apply simply place on cats leg and they lick it off
Great gel easy to apply if they will not eat just apply the amount needed to the front leg of the cat and they simply lick it off and with this being high calorie and all the extra vitamins and minerals they need to get over any not eating phases due to illness or just being old needing that extra care i'd highly recommend this high calorie gel especially cat's with diarrhoea it's very effective to keep there calorie intake up doesn't smell that bad and if they will not eat on it's own then all you need to do is put the portion need on there front leg and they simply lick it off and it seems to helps to make them hungry too but this is fantastic gel cause it set's your worry aside off your cat not getting enough calories during illnesses I've alway order this now it's handy to have in your first aid cupboard it as a good use by date definitely 5*

Good mixed with food or treats
My cat won’t touch this on its own, but I mix it with Lick-e-lix and he goes absolutely mad for it. I got this because my cat is suffering from a severe respiratory infection and stopped eating. He is being treated for his infection and given appetite stimulants, and in addition to this gel/lick-e-lix combination he has his appetite back and is gaining weight.

Great supplement
Our cat had a few teeth out a few month back. She seemed to get thinner and looked quite 'old' over the following weeks and seemed to struggle getting through 2 food pouches a day. I bought this and add a blob on top of her normal food. She has bounced back. More energy, back to climbing trees and is back to eating 3 pouches a day. Great addition to her diet. Ordered more.

Expensive compared to others and no taurine
I bought this before spotting other cheaper alternatives - the price on this is ridiculous frankly. It also doesn't contain taurine which I would expect from any paste intended to supplement a cat's diet. On top of that it is not palatable for my cat. Would not buy again.

My cat hates it 😢
I read the reviews which all seemed promising of their cat eating this product. My cat is 16 years and lost so much weight due to a hyperactive thyroid I thought this product would be perfect to help fatten her up and give her all the nutrients she needs. She hates it 😢 won’t touch it and runs from me soon as she sees it. It’s very thick, I did manage to get it into a syringe to give her bits but it’s so thick by the time it blobbed out is was more all round her face that in her mouth and when it did go in her mouth she had no choice but to eat it. Which caused her more stress in it self. Why malt flavour? Why not make it more appetising to cats. Worth a try when your desperate to help your cats health, but a lot of money when they don’t eat it.

Like a different cat!
Our cat had to stay overnight at the vets due to severe dehydration and high temperature. She had lost loads of weight and they found she had numerous lumps/tumours on her intestine. The vet said she was also anaemic and the tumours were possibly stopping her absorbing nutrients thus the weight loss, wobbly head and imbalance. The vet didn't give us much hope. She was given an antibiotic just incase her symptoms were not caused by the tumours (seemed unlikely). Her temperature came down overnight and we were allowed to take her home but with understanding that it may not be for long (days to a couple of weeks). We struggled for three days to get her to eat. She wouldn't drink water. I ordered this paste on the third day (Saturday) out of desperation when I saw her licking sand - clearly she is looking for minerals. It arrived very quickly, so started giving it to her on the Sunday. She didn't like it mixed in food - it was hard to get her to eat food anyway - so I just put pea sized amounts on my finger and she licked it off. When she rejected the paste I put it on her paw and she licked it off. I also kept persevering with pushing every type of food on her - roast chicken seemed to be favoured as well as watered down wet food. Monday we went out in the afternoon but needed to get back within a few hours to ensure we could feed her. We discussed putting her to sleep because she it wasn't fair continuing like this - I couldn't sleep and was constantly checking her. We got home to her asking for food. We fed her. She wanted more. Then she went to the water bowl and drank. It was like a 180 degree turnaround. This was the second day after starting the paste. It may be that the antibiotics finally kicked whatever infection she had, but certainly the nutrients contained in the paste must be helping, as some deficiencies will mean the cat doesn't want to eat. So it's now Wednesday and she's eating loads. We have our old cat back - she still has tumours but for now she wants to eat and drink, and we can tell she is happy as she is back to her old chatty self. Highly recommend this paste even if all seems pointless. There are cheaper versions but I don't know if cats will like the flavour, and anyway, it's worth it to get them back on their feet as it shouldn't be used long term if it can be helped.

Waste of money
Our cat had stopped eating so I bought this to help her meet her energy requirements and get all her nutrients. This product doesn't work because it is SO THICK that any cat- unhealthy or not, struggles to lick and swallow it as it is a thick sludgy syrup. It smelled bad and neither of my cats (one is very healthy) wanted to go anywhere near it. I tried to put some on her nose/lips but it hardened to her fur and was impossible for her or us to clean off, meaning she died with clumped fur around her mouth. The tube was half empty when it arrived- not impressed and would not recommend, I do hope there are much better nutritional supplements for cats out there.

Highly nutitional
I have used this previously for many years for my cat whom had many ailments including: hyperthyroidism, heart failure and stomach problems and with all his meds and illnesses it took it out of him. With this, which I gave him daily for nutritional purposes, it kept him a big beautiful boy until he passed at almost 20 years of age. I've recently purchased this again for my 13 year old cat whom has had a violent stomach bug and I know it will improve his health in time after medication. I can't rate this highly enough. Highly recommended and worth every penny if you love your pets as family.

I recently moved home and my furbaby refused to eat for 5 days, i had been feeding her by syringe (as advised by vet previously) and she just still had no interest to eat. I purchased the gel lastnight and received this morning, 9am. Started to use it straight away and put a little on my finger and put it on her mouth to lick it up. I did that several times throughout the day. She just started eating kibble around 7pm by herself!!! So so happy that her appetite has returned, all thanks to the gel!!! 😊😊

I bought this for a very old cat that was skinny and couldn't put weight on.He is now eating more and will try new foods, he seems happier in himself purring more and following everyone around.

Here's to hoping Tomlyn create a flavour cats can't resist, because all 4 cats turned their nose up at this, even when mixed into favourite food. That said, if you're prepared to place small amounts on finger and place on roof of cat's mouth to administer (like I did), it was effective as appetite stimulant and energy boost after two days of 3 X day for a cat with chronic kidney disease. But I won't lie, it was hard work.
