Benzyl Benzoate 1litre Pure Grade

This works a treat for my horse who gets sweet-itch. Dilution rates are stated on the bottle, and as this is an undiluted grade of the Benzyl, it does need to be diluted. I did however dilute mine with water and not vegetable oil as suggest on the packaging as I didnt wish the old nag to be frying in the summer sun; not a good look and likely most uncomfortable too. A drop of washing up liquid helped the water and chemical to mix properly and be effective. The smell is typical of Benzyl Benzoate, and for me not at all unpleasant. It leaves the human skin with a matt feeling too it, so I believe it is recommended to were PPE when applying. Quality is right, and a dose one the horse lasted well over a week before being needing to be reapplied. The possitive relief results seemed to take a day or less.

One of our horses has had sweet itch since we've had her, when she arrived she had virtually no main or tail. I mix this with E45 cream as I find it mixes best with this. Aveno cream tends to separate. The horse now has a full tail again and most of her mane. We do use this in addition to fly sheet but I would recommend this product if you find other treatments don't work.

I ordered this product to treat a mare with sweet itch after reading the reviews. Really fast delivery, and clear instructions how to mix and use. Great value for money as mixing the benzyl benzoate with vegetable oil means it will last much longer than some ready to use products. I applied it liberally and daily with a cloth to my mare's mane and tail and there was a noticeable improvement after only one week. It absorbs immediately and is clear so doesn't leave a white paste mark like benzyl benzoate used to. I would definitely recommend this product and the supplier.

This has worked a treat for a very itchy pony (due to midges). Where before he was rubbing until raw, the skin has healed and his mane is re-growing. Excellent value for money as it goes such a long way. I shall be buying again.

This is a good product that is easy to mix with basic moisturizing cream. Fast delivery.

Absolutely unusable. Mix with cooking oil then apply to your horse!! I threw it away.
