Description not what I expected
I thought I was getting a set of nylon strings for my Baritone ukulele but 2 were steel wound. It's not a problem but not what I expected. In

Sound good but prefer the factory-fitted GHS strings.
The GHS D string on my Ohana came unwound after about a week so I decided to restring the whole bat with Aquilas as I lthey sound good on my concert uke. The Aquila baritone strings sound a bit brighter but the D string has a bit of an annoying buzz to it on the third fret unless you're really precise with your fretting. Just makes it sound a wee bit jangly. It would probably be different on any other uke though. They're nice strings but I just think I prefer the GHS ones. I'm keeping the Aquilas on though as I like them sufficiently not to bother putting the GHSs back on!

Nice strings which hold their pitch and have a nice bright tone
Lovely strings and hold their pitch much better than the D'Addario equivalent, which I'd often have to re-tune more than once in an evening. Nice bright tone.

Well recognized brand
These are among the best value ukulele strings on the market. They'll be demanded by the most discriminating players. Inexpensive no-nonsense packaged as they were, tells you that Aquila concentrates on quality rather than window dressing. I have no complaints even after two years of daily use.

Aquila 21U Uke Baritone Low-D Wound D&G strings
Originally ordered nylgut strings but changed my mind to above with no hassle from supplier. Glad I did, these strings enhance the sound quality of my Uke no end compared to original supplied rubbish. Bottom 2 strings are wound and top 2 are plain, and after a bit of bedding in and stretching, seem to maintain their tuning even after only 1 day! My original strings were tied in, however taking advice from another site I "borrowed" 4 threaded glass beads from my wife's craft stuff, knotted the string ends, threaded thru the beads and bingo! perfectly secure. This works particularly well with D&G wound strings, appreciate this is not rocket science but just thought I'd confirm it works for me. Would recommend these strings and the method of securing to anyone out there interested. PS I am a complete novice at uke playing, cut my teeth on 6 string guitars.

Aquila - widely regarded as the best strings and worth buying
Aquila - widely regarded as the best strings and worth buying, although the wound D's and G's can be a bit buzzy on my baritone. They're stretchy so it'll take a while for them to wear in, but you'll be rewarded by good tones in the end.

Good quality strings.
Great strings - usual Aquila quality and value. I will give a more long-term review once I've used them for a while.

Muy buen sonido pero cuidado con las cuerdas entorchadas que son muy frágiles. El único pero es que el envío me ha llegado el domingo, me parece excesivo hacer trabajar a el mensajero un domingo.

So I was all _tied_ up with yet another _threadful_ day of paperwork when my _knotty_ boy brought in the mail... and to my delight (and yours because my string puns end here), my order of Aquila 21U Baritone Ukulele arrived a month early!! Amazon had indicated that there were only 3 left in stock and it would take over a month to arrive at our doorstep from Italy, so it was a lovely surprise to get my order within a week :) Bravo Amazon for the super speedy shipping from the land of pizza and spaghetti. As you all know... a string, I mean, a thing... of beauty is a joy forever, so here's a picture of the opened package for those of you baritone ukulele players out there who are assuming that all 4 strings come in your typical white Nylgut material. As you can see, the Aquila 21U strings come in a package of two wound bass strings (D & G aka Strings 4 & 3) and 2 Nylgut treble strings (B & E aka Strings 2 and 1). The packaging is professional and colour-coded accordingly, so no worries about installation mix up there! Since I can remember, I've got these trusty strings strung up on my baritone uke and purchased these as spares since wound strings don't last as long as Nylguts and seem to have a tendency to snap after a few months of rigorous daily playing. It's just the nature of wound strings though YMMV as I fingerpick and strum with long nails on my right hand so maybe yours may last longer. TLDR: If you're a discerning ukulele player looking for decent baritone strings on a budget, these Aquila 21U strings are hard to beat, especially since they're cheaper here (with free shipping) than anywhere else. Well recommended :)
