Great, simple notebook
I am very much one of those people that doesn’t quite see the difference between a 50p notebook and that of a £20 notebook, so I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived. I first noticed how many pages it had - it was a really thick notebook and definitely not those pathetically thin ones that last all of a couple weeks if they don’t get trashed in your handbag first. The paper was great quality, the cover and wiring is all very strong, and the ruler is a cool little edition and something I thought would be quite the novelty but it has truly come in handy. Really great inexpensive notebook that I would definitely purchase more of to have at different times and places.

Great Notebook - Will only buy this one from now on!
Didn't think I'd write a review on a notebook, but I just love this. Paper is thick and premium feeling. Pen glides on the paper better than other notebooks. The set of lines on the notebook are PERFECT. Now I cant use a notebook without them. The app is an added bonus. I don't really use it, but great to know it's there. It's spiral bound Pen fits in the spiral without issues Nice optional bookmark with ruler Thicker front/back covers It's cheap

Good quality pad, not necessarily for everyone.
The Oxford Office A5 Notebook has the typical high quality of Oxford brand pads. The design, however, limits its feasibility as an all-rounder. A quick outline of the salient points: - 90 sheets of 90 gsm. The paper is smooth, white and stands up to ink well. - The covers seems to be a type of dense synthetic card with a shiny coating. Not polypropylene. - The detachable ruler/bookmark is a nice feature. The printing for the ruler matches well with a measuring tape. - The pages are not standard 8mm ruled, they are 7mm, double margin, with a title/date box at the top. Picture attached for clarification. - The pages are not perforated, and they are not punched for filing. This pad is of higher quality, and more expensive, than a lot of the competition. The design is not as general as Oxford's Campus or Black n' Red, but it may be exactly what some people are looking for.

Students friend, good quality, buy >1
Brilliant, didn't realise you could download an app to scan, save, organise notes. I was keeping daily records that needed to be shared, this made it a breeze. You scan your files to your phone, name them and share. Excellent for students sharing notes. Will be buying more, no worries about losing info and takes hassle out of finding things.

Superior paper quality and presentation to most of its kind
Another extension to the Oxford range of notepads, "Oxford Office Smart Wirebound Soft Cover Notebook, A4, 180 Pages - Black" is intended for the office and workplace user rather than the student. The paper quality is the same 90gsm 'Optik' as used for others in the range, is smooth-surfaced and quite fountain pen friendly should you need it to be but the page structure is very different and includes a title/date area. With a variety of fountain pens fitted with nibs up to a Broad and also several different inks, including a deep black, there has been no significant bleed-through with most combinations when writing normally. Scratching something out with more ink in the same spot will allow some or significant bleed with most inks. For the most part, this will allow both sides of the paper to be fully used. The presentation is plain, using an almost featureless black front cover other than for the branding and a subtle dark grey ruled pattern but lacks the usual thick card backing for writing support; this has a thinner card much like the front and coloured to match. It is spiral-bound at the left-hand edge and the pages are ruled and have a wider than standard margin. None of the rulings are edge-to-edge. Also fitted is a removable flexible ruler and page marker that can be moved around within the pad as needs arise. Unlike the similarly-bound 'student' pads, its pages are true A4 and not A4+ to provide for micro-perforations; this does not have them or the pre-punching for a 4-ring binder. 180 pages equates to 90 sheets so the pad is not too thick overall. It is intended for uses where the contents will presumably remain for the life of the pad and these could include maintaining a record of a 'tab' within a business where certain customers pay only periodically, a members' record for a club or any other purpose within a working environment. Experience with other Oxford notepads has been excellent and about on a par with the far more expensive Continental and Japanese specialist products made primarily for fountain pen users. While the paper may be too smooth for some ballpoints, the pads should meet most requirements and expectations. Oxford writing pads are only slightly more expensive than those of lesser quality and far more affordable than the highly reputed imported brands. The brand is now that of first choice.

Excellent sturdy spiral bound A4 pad.
This is a sturdy, spiral bound A4 pad. I write mostly with ink and it is great that it doesn’t ‘bleed’ through to the other side - making it perfect to write on both sides of the paper. I bought it for practical reasons, but it would make a nice gift

It's fine. The app is average and no sign of the divider / ruler its supposed to come with.
There was no divider / ruler that came with it. Of course the only options on Amazon are to return the product rather than ask for what you've actually paid for. It comes with an app called Scribzee. Its basically just a scanner with some basic carachter-recognition but you can do the same with Notes on your iPhone, with Dropbox, or many other apps. You can't do much with the note once you've scanned it either whereas in other good apps like Notability, you can scribble on or add to your notes afterwards. Overall, its a decent notebook just didn't come with the ruler it was supposed to come with and the app is very basic.
