I much preferred the 500mg dose rather than this higher dose but it's no longer available to buy. Well on Amazon anyway. ... I started taking this back at the beginning of the year following yet another M.E flare up which lasted months. I went back to the drawing board and re-read Dr Sarah Myhill's book on M.E (if you have M.E and haven't read that - then let that be the next thing you order!!). I've experimented with L-Carnitine before but in a multi antioxidant and something about that didn't work for me. This however taken solo in the morning has definitely help with my mitochondrial health. I have been consistently getting out for a 40 minute walk every morning and have many days where I am completely symptom free. This hasn't happened consistently for years. This isn't a magic bullet though. There are many other things I've changed. However, I would say this is part of the magic solution for me.

Just too giant to swallow. I get immediate heartburn. You'd be better buying smaller 500mg and taking them in two doses.

it's taken me a while to assess it's effectiveness but does seem to be making a difference, don't advise taking it without food though as for me I can feel it affect eye pressures slightly then, however a little food and it seems to get to work. Good value, as with most people took a chance on a product supplier I didn't know but don't feel I've been duped. Not everyone will need this 1000mg strength though.

Nothing wrong with the product but the capsule is enormous and whatever the capsule is made of it sticks half way down my oesophagus and causes pain. On handling a capsule, one part of it becomes very very sticky when damp, and I guess this is causing the problem. Have to empty the contents out and mix with flaxseed to take it with a drink, that solves the problem but it is such a pity. Next time will look for 500mg and take two because this one capsule of 1000mg is simply too large and problematic.

After a lot of research I decided to give these a go to boost Krebbs cycle as part of ME/ chronic fatigue management. I was sceptical but actually, I'm pleasantly surprised.I do seem to have a bit more energy.

Best Naturals are good for supplements etc, A-LC is good for what it says on the tin, used when helping quit smoking.

goated actually seems to help with fatigue, have it combined with stimulants and l-tyrosine with heavy stress.

Helped with a couple of health and memory/attention issues

I'm not a power-lifter or other athlete who takes this for muscle strength. I take a lot of supplements to help with various chronic problems & this is now on my daily "gotta take it" list. (Magnesium citrate is also on that list to ward off muscle cramps in my legs!) Definitely feel a difference overall, but especially notice less "brain fog", especially when I take it in combination with N-A-C. Supposedly Acytl-L-Carnitine has been shown to delay or slow progression of Alzheimer's, especially with N-A-C & cucurmin; that's another reason I take it, because I have a family history of AD & I have the APOE-4 genes. Hoping that's true!
