Skullcandy Barricade Mini Bluetooth Wireless Portable Speaker - Grey/Charcoal/Hot Lime

Bought this for my son to use for something that won't break easily and can live up to the lifestyle he has and it has not failed. It's a great 5 Watt speaker with clear sound that doesn't become muffled when you turn up the volume to full. The bass is decent. It is light and can take a battering and it's great that it's really water proof so he take it to the beach and not need to worry about it. Lovely little speaker and great value for money, we did by the Skull candy Shrapnel but it wasn't loud enough for him. Definitely worth the extra £10 for the extra two watts. Would recommend this for people with a budget of £50 and below.

Excellent speaker considering the size! Which is roughly equivalent to that of a Grapefruit. Bought to replace bulky and space consuming Bose Hi-fi system on my kitchen work surface which my girlfriend described as a £400 alarm clock when I bought it 15 years ago and which she removes and leaves on my pillow when I'm out because it takes up so much room. The Skullcandy Baricade Mini is a more than adequate replacement. Good sound, warm with adequate bass and sufficient volume for its intended purpose of entertaining me whilst I cook. Easy to set up. I've only used it with my old Ipod Classic so needed speaker system with Aux input and haven't tried the Bluetooth with my phone but the instructions suggest it's easy enough. Haven't played it for long without the charge cable yet but hopefully the battery will last the 6 hours claimed.

Just wanted something small for both audio books in the garden and music too. I am very impressed. The unit was so simple to set up after its initial charge. Sound is excellent... mainly soft rock type music I have experimented with so far. Great range from music device, no problem there. Listened to an audio book at night and had the sound right down and still lovely and clear. Price is amazing considering I was looking at ones around the £50.00 mark. So impressed I am now going to buy 2 more, one for a gift and one to keep at work. I am not an audiophile. .. just someone who likes great sounding music. Thanks Skullcandy.

Doubt you can find anything better for the price. It'll fill an average room just fine, more for easy listening but full blast it packs some real volume and bass. I'm no audiophile, but I can tell it's reaching its limits when I crank it to max volume, so the quality at this point isn't anything special. Beats the Sony SRS-X11 I had before by a mile, and is somehow lighter despite the larger size and rugged appearance. Only downsize would be the battery life at ~4 hours - expected a bit better than that. Great for that tiny portable speaker you want with you often without taking much space or adding much weight. If you're searching for amazing quality, you'll have to go a bit bigger and spend a bit more, but for £14 I guarantee you will be impressed!

Great little product with a good volume and tone. Easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. Really pleased with the purchase and would recommend. I use it in my home office to listen to Spotify and Netflix through my phone. I'm definitely going to be taking it on holiday /picnics too!

Brilliant speaker, good depth of sound and feels pretty rugged. A really big plus is that it doesnt swith off if you put your music player or movie on pause, it stays connected so you can pick up where you left off without annoyingly having to reconnect or re pair. Love it!

Bought this speaker for my partner as he likes to listen to music in the bath on his phone and was borrowing our teenage sons portable speakers a lot. He was pleased with this surprise gift and has used it constantly. Sound quality is great and it easily connects to the phone. Easy to charge and nice design.

Originally bought one to use as a dragon puppet's voicebox, the quality and power of it is so good we got another one to use at home and outdoors. Partner really loves it and the dragon roars can be heard above the noise of the village fair when he is out and about too. We tried other speakers before and he could barely be heard, so very impressed with the quality of this one. My neighbour also used it to play music in her garden at her wedding, a really decent speaker that meant instead of bringing her entire stereo outside she could play music from her phone using this one and got the party going. Strongly recommended.
