Ellie-Bo Black Deluxe Slanted Medium 30-inch Folding Dog Cage/Crate with Metal Tray and Dog Bed Mat

I have bought 3 crates for my labrador puppy, first a different make for the kitchen, then the Ellie-Bo 24" for the car. I was so impressed with the Ellie-Bo that I wanted to get the Ellie-Bo 30" when he outgrew it. Both the Ellie-Bo crates are sturdy, collapse easily, have very nice padded cushions which come with the crate, and a set of instructions and crate-training advice. They open out easily and have a carry handle. I particularly liked the clear dimensions on the product description which enabled me to easily measure the fit for my car, and dog. I have found beds and crates to be unreliable generally on their measurements, but would recommend Ellie-Bo's reliability on this front very strongly. I will stick to this brand for any future crates I need to get.

We have bought two excellent collapsible Ellie-Bo dog crates (perfect for a grown Cocker Spaniel). Ladies, mind your nails when collapsing this! It does collapse with a bit of pressure/use of pliers, but is probably only meant to collapse occasionally rather than daily. The metal tray is easy to remove/reinsert and clean. The door latches are secure and quick and easy to slide. The SLANTED version comes with an excellent machine washable, quick drying fleece. For our puppy we have added newspaper under the provided fleece and have added a vet grade whelping fleece on top. I recommend buying a spare fleece: one on, one in the wash. We have the slanted model for the car and the regular (medium) size for the house. CAR: As the cage does not have a SIDE opening, we are unable to place the cage sideways in the car - it fits very well, but quite wide across the width of the boot. UNDER STAIRS: again, we are unable to take advantage of the slant to fit the cage under our open kitchen stairs as there is no side door. Therefore the cage takes up the width under our stairs. Which works very well but is not entire economical of space use. We therefore bought the RECTANGULAR version to keep permanently at home. 30" is perfect for a fully grown Cocker Spaniel - the 36" overly large. The separately sold water bowl holder with removable bowl is the ideal and practical accessory. Quick and easy to unscrew when you collapse the cage. I thoroughly and cheerfully recommend this sturdy Ellie-Bo cage.

This is just brilliant for my boot . Fits really well . I have chihuahua puppy , haven’t tried her in it yet but hoping she will love it . I have a mg hs car. It’s brilliant quality . Very sturdy. Good thick bars . She will def be safe in it

A really well made dog cage that fits perfectly in our MG EV. It’s a good size for our labradoodle puppy now and will leave time for growth Cannot praise Stack ‘m High (the suppliers) enough for their excellent service in replacing the tray which had been damaged in transit. The replacement arrived the following day, marked fragile, and was so well packaged that it would have even survived being thrown about.

Bought this item some years ago and it is still in use. Fits well in the back of the car. Easy to collapse. Doggie very happy travelling in it. Buy the correct size for your dog. We also have the smaller version.

Strong crate which is study when put together, but buy with a file. I almost sent it back because the sharp edges would have 100% ripped my dogs skin, even worse as it was primarily on the door which would have been caught repeatedly. It really shouldn’t have got past quality control. I have to give 3* due to safety but the construction itself it good. If it would have come with the edges already filed as it should have it would have got 5*

Excellent fit! With both sloping front and back. Two small dogs had loads of room! Well made and super value. Door catch needs taping to reduce noise. Good door position for easy access. Very pleased with this cage compared to others we have had!

Bought this to go in a 2004 Ford Ka. Although I measured correctly the back seats won't fold back up if you put the crate in the right way round. However if you can be bothered to drop the seats and load your dogs via the back seat area rather than the boot it will fit like a glove with no space to spare at all! This is fine by me as when I'm out with the dogs on my own I just drop rear seats and load from the boot, the cage door opens well and above the edge of the boot. If I have passengers I have to faff a little to get dogs in. The cage is very sturdy and well made. It does have large gaps around the bottom which may be a problem for very small dogs or puppies. They may get stuck in the spaces. This can be rectified by putting a padded extra bit of bedding in although the mat provided is of good quality. The cage is very easy to fold up and down and has a carry handle which just clips on made of plastic. All in for the money I think it's pretty good if it had fitted in perfectly the right way round if have given 5 stars. However a Ford Ka boot is very small so I'm glad to find something suitable that fits a large Jack Russell and a small yorkie in comfortably.
