V-fit LFG2 Herculean COBRA Lay Flat Home Gym 64kg

This is a great multigym and for the price offers very good value. Putting it together does take a little while and it is important to follow the instructions very carefully as there are lots of parts...... Unfortunately one of the parts was damaged in transit, but was replaced in a couple of days after contacting the distributor as described in the instructions. I am very pleased with this.

Not that impressed to be honest. 2 damaged parts, Amazon have said they don't stock replacement parts and that I'd have to directly contact the manufacturer. Which means I'll be out of pocket until Amazon issues a refund. The other option was they could send a new gym out for me to pick out the 2 parts I need and then send it back which makes zero sense at all. The instructions were the absolute worst in the later stages. It wobbles constantly and looks like it's leaning over no matter how much I tighten it up. Way too small so much that the leg exercise part is completely useless. I'm only 5,9 so no excuse. The main cable also seems to be too short by at least 8 inches as I have to lift the actual weight stack up by hand to connect them. No amount of adjustment seems to make up the extra. I'll update this after a few weeks of use to see if I feel any different about it.

This is a no frills home gym, if you want a varied positioning of the bench press & pec deck then this is not for you. Having said that this gym will hit your chest in both the bench press and the pec deck. The lat bar is a let down though, I cant workout my triceps as the rear of the gym is not as tall as the front, thus sending the weights crashing to the top as I try to execute the exercise. Also as I am 6ft 2 so the bench is just a tad small, I can do bench presses with the aid of a small cushion in the gap between the bench and the back post beneath the back rest, leg extension is difficult, just getting my feet under the rollers is a task but once under I can perform front leg extensions but rear curls for the back of the legs forget it !! unless your a hobbit. Plus the rollers are what you would expect for a £214.00 home gym, cheap and thin. The Pec deck is rather high so it does not hit the target its meant to hit but with again a small firm cushion to sit on its then perfect, you do have to hold the grey area with your hands so that your elbows are on the rollers and once again the rollers are thin but do the job. On design I cant work out why there so much space from the back of the bench to the weight stack, if this was smaller then the bench could of been longer. Having said all this I would still recommend this gym, but if you are looking for perfection and top quality then be expected to buy one for 4 times the price of this. I have had two works out on the gym and I enjoy it, as a person who has done weights for over 20 years I can honestly say for a home gym this will cut it and my aching body is proof of that. It will never beat what your used to in the gym, but a times when you cant get to the gym this will fix the gap.

Awesome well worth the money, fairly easy to assembly, some of the Instruction are a little unclear but after a couple of minutes of reading them again and looking at the drawing soon figured it out, took 3 hrs from unboxing to fully assembled and usable, nice exercise poster/ booklet that comes with it. Spanner are useless, just used my own 17mm and 15mm spanners. Well made and sturdy construction

A most marvellous meccano set for any big boy! Arrived before delivery date, well most of it. Carrier decided that nobody in there right mind would want the heavy box with weights in, so sent it back. But that was soon sorted out . And Oh dear yes there was a part not right, a little bit busted in the manufacturing process, but yet again in a flash without hesitation replacements were sent out! Assembling is great and step by step easy, take time have a wine..... So yes I would recommend

I couldn't believe that for significantly less than a year's gym membership I could get all of these exercises in one piece of apparatus. I built it by myself over a few evenings just following a page or two a night from the instructions which were reasonably easy to understand. There were just a couple of things I'd recommend. First, fully torque the nuts underneath where the weights will go as soon as you assemble that part as access to them later is very difficult. Second, the instructions state that everything should be tightened so that the bolts go fully through the lock nuts which is sensible enough. However, in some places when you do this they are so tight that they break the paint/powder coat on the frame which is a shame. Finally, you'll probably want to get v-bars, rope grips and a new lat bar with neutral handles for more variation on the lat pulldown exercises. All in all, though, this is very much a 5-star product. Highly recommended!

An hour to put the frame together. Looked at pulley instructions and gave up! Will try another day!!!

Product is poor quality. If you are over 6ft dont even bother as the bench press will not be correctly positioned, due to how it is manufactured your head presses against the back part and thr bar crosses your shoulders rather than your chest! The Pec Dec Fly mechinism is flimsy and wobbles when in use! The Leg Extension is too low so your feet make contact with the floor before full extension is achieved. To sue the bench for Pull Ups and Pull downs you have to remove the lay flat bench part which consists of a bolt which is tightened up to prevent it wobbling... this means you need a spanner for EVERYTIME you want to adjust for this exercise! Spend a bit more and buy a unit which has larger dimensions This would be perfect however if you are a teenager starting out! (hence the 2 stars rather than 1)
