Patchwork Cutters - Diamond Side Design - Sugarcraft Cutter

I love these Patchwork Cutters and I have several in my collection now. This diamond cutter is a great way of doing a quilting effect on cakes without all the hassle of measuring etc. The diamond shape is a consistent size on the cake and makes it so much easier to get a stunning effect with very little effort. You can then run over the lines with a quilting wheel tool to give the look of stitching and then stick an edible ball or small flower where the diamonds join. This creates a stunning effect. On a square cake I always start in the middle of the front side of the cake and then work out towards the corners. You also get a little group of minute cutters in the pack to add further details if required. Very pleased with purchase and excellent value for money. Delivered very quick and before estimated date

I ordered this tool to decorate my Daughter's Christening Cake. I previously tried to do it freehand but could never mange to keep my lines straight. After using the tool to emboss the sides I then used a modelling tool to go over my lines. I then finished it off with a silver ball in the centre of each diamond shape. I would also recommend using quite a thick fondant to get a better result. The effect was simple yet very elegant. I would highly recomend this tool to any cake decorator. I found it very simple to use and will definitely make good use of it. With kind regards from a happy customer.

Good idea, but item very flimsy to use - in fact one of the edge bars broke away during use. It didn't matter too much though as was able to just continue the line upwards by hand. Was used for quilting a sugar paste covered cake.

My wife used this for decorating her cousins cake recently. I was amazed at the end result, as was the bride and her guests. Very easy to use (yes, I tried it myself!!) and sturdy enough to take some pressure around the edges of a round cake.

I love this handy little tool. Given that cakes come in all sizes, your pattern may or may not match up but it's easily sorted with a knife or ruler and that's what the back of a cake is for. The correct pressure is key here but practice makes perfect for a beautiful and very effective design. It's a very good price and you get exactly what you expect. I strongly disagree with the negative reviews this item has received. If your cake is straight on the sided then you will have no problem using this product. It's plastic so bear it in mind but that's true of any plastic embosser.

it's manageable as the product is not too handle so it wobbles and messes up the lines.

Works great, you just have to get the hang of how to place it. also make sure you elevate the cake and line the pattern up to the top edge of the cake as any half pattern will / can be covered by a ribbon etc.

I love Patchwork cutters - they have some really original designs. This is so simple yet effective. Just take a bit of getting used to
