Norpro 405 Oval Silicone Roast Rack, Red 9x6

This is great! I’ve searched for a rack to fit inside my Corningware French White oval baker for years. Everything was too big so I was elated to stumble upon these on your site. It fits beautifully and works like a dream. I’ve bought several in different sizes to fit my other pieces as well. Thanks so much for creating exactly what I needed!

This little rack is way sturdier than it has any right to be. Holds a whole chicken, a duck, or a solid little roast without any of that floppy silicone nonsense. Cleans up fast, comes out of the dishwasher genuinely odor-free, and somehow feels a bit… dependable. I bought it for a temporary kitchen in Seattle and fully planned to pass it along. Instead, it’s coming home to BKLYN with me. Made in the USA, too. 10/10. Will absolutely roast again.

I use this in the crock pot. It keeps the roast off the edges for more even cooking. It replaces a metal grate which was giving my meats a metallic taste and fits perfectly inside my crock pot. Its even dishwasher safe if you want it sanitized between uses.

The trivet is as sturdy as can be. It should last for many years. Cleaning isn't hard, stuff falls off- Except for odors. They linger in the rubber (silicone or fake silicone?) One must leave this out for a few days after washing so the odors dissipate. Sunlight helps. Pan B: Put it in a covered tray with baking soda. I use it in the slow cooker for a garlic chicken & tomato sauce creation. The garlic & tomato odors left iwth washing, but the chicken smell remained. Next I tried pork. Smell stayed for a few days. So be sure not to put it in the slow cooker & leave the lid on for storage. CAUTION! Before first use, after washing, heat this in the oven or crock pot or something for an hour or more. If not, the odor of rubber will permeate the food. After the first heat-and-wait, it won't out-gas any more. Despite the cleanliness glitches, it's nice to have!

Outstanding product

I bought two of these in 2018. We have only used it in the microwave. It stays on the turntable to cook frozen dinners or reheat leftovers. Frozen dinners get hot all the way instead of that cold flat bottom. Baked potato cooks better also. I don’t know what we would do without it!

This is the perfect size for almost everything I cook. And clean up is super easy. I feel like it lifts whatever you are cooking a bit higher (yet evenly) than a traditional rack.

Great thickness, easy to use, doesn't rust, size is perfect for my 8qt crockpot, I bought a second for my 6qt too, just have to bend the ends to fit, now I can cook ribs in both slow cookers at the same time and keep the meat lifted out of the fat , much versatility as I even use as a trivet, doesn't stick, just throw in dishwasher and done!
