Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lip Shimmer, Grapefruit, 2.55g

I love this. It’s a nice colour and does exactly what it’s supposed to. Burts Bees is definitely the best lip balm product in this price range. And I’ve tried many.

I don’t usually use lipstick as I like a very natural look, but recently I have decided I would like to find something to make my lips look plumper and more vibrant. I love Burts bees brand and I am really glad I have come across this product. It is a small lip balm type sheer lipstick with a subtle colour and shimmer effect. I have gone for a strawberry shade and it is a medium pink colour - not too bright and not too pale. For my own information I prefer less pink and more natural, so I probably need to try rhubarb, peony or caramel. It has a minty feel, so it tingles slightly for 5-10 minutes after application. If you don’t like mint or the tingling then you won’t like this product. Note it is only 2.6 grams, so about half the size of a normal lipstick/ lip balm, however I think I will still get plenty of use out of it and I’m happy with the price of £3.99, which is cheaper than in Boots. Burts Bees also do a normal standard sized (4.25 g) tinted lip balm at £3.99 sold on Amazon, so I will try that and will update my review to let you know whether it’s better value for money.

Great product, a lot smaller than expected. I won't purchase again but it's nice to try new things now and again.

First off, if you have badly cracked lips, this won't be good enough to fix them. For that, I'd recommend you slather on a good thickish layer of Vaseline on your lips prior to sleeping. No drink of water or eating after. Sleep 8 hrs. Then when you wake it, your lips should be in much better condition for lipsticks and products such as this. But if you don't have badly cracked lips to start with, then you will find that this product is really moisturising for a lip balm and lip tint combined. I have tried other brands like Nivea and other usual lip balm sticks which are tinted. None were as moisturising as this one. After hours of wear, my lips still feel lovely and moisturised, the colour is still there, and I can still feel the layer of product on my lips. It doesn't disappear off the lips at all. It acts kind of like a sheer lipstick, except it's far better at moisturising than any lipsticks I've ever used. It's really good. I'm really tempted to buy other colours now!

The product itself is lovely, good colour, feels great. Unfortunately they came covered in big Amazon stickers that were near impossible to remove and meant opening was difficult and using them is not so pleasant.

Lovely colour which works well with autumn colours! Really nice peppermint oil tingle as with so many of Burts Bees lip Products.

I’ve been using this grapefruit color for many years. It’s just the right amount of natural color on top of any lipliner. Perfect if you want to look like you’re not wearing lipstick.
