NATO Top Handle Lightweight

I recently added the SmallRig Quick Release NATO Top Handle to my camera setup, and it has been a game-changer for my workflow. One of the best features is the quick attach and detach mechanism. It effortlessly mounts onto the NATO rail of my camera, allowing me to swiftly remove or reposition the handle as needed. This has been incredibly useful for switching between different shooting configurations on the fly. The size of the handle is perfect, especially for someone like me with medium/small hands. The grip is comfortable and fits easily in my hand, making it a pleasure to use during long shoots. The handle also offers excellent versatility with multiple mounting points for adding a monitor and other accessories. This flexibility has significantly improved my rig's functionality, making it easier to set up and use additional gear during shoots. For those using a heavy lens in front, I recommend fitting the handle the opposite way. This helps counterbalance the weight and stabilizes the camera more effectively, making it easier to handle. This top handle with Nato clamp is so handy! I can easily slip it on and off my BMPCC 4K cage, so that my camera fits into my camera bag. It adds next to no weight at all.

Very high quality but not too heavy, and has loads of mounting points including multiple shoe mounts which is excellent. Went for this on an a7IV cage because the nato rail mount meant I could get it on the cage while also using an XLR-K3M with the extension cable

Nice handle, comfortable but the tightening onto the nato handle isn’t secure at all. Slides along which doesn’t give confidence at all with a built rig.

Lovely handle, soft to the touch, lots of mounting points… doesn’t fit on the top NATO rail on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K cage. I had to use an external NATO rail to make it work.

This SmallRig NATO Top Handle is one of the best additions to my rig. The grip feels excellent in hand—secure, comfortable, and perfect for handheld shots. It’s super easy to rig thanks to the quick-release NATO system, and the multiple cold shoe mounts make it incredibly versatile for adding mics, monitors, or lights. Functionality-wise, it checks every box. It’s lightweight but sturdy, and the design makes it fast to adapt or reconfigure on the go. For the price, the value is outstanding. Another solid piece of gear from SmallRig that I’d definitely recommend to any filmmaker building a reliable rig.

Es un agarre adicional si te gusta hacer tomas a ras de suelo, en lo personal me gusta mucho la marca SmallRing porque proporciona una excelente calidad y cuenta con un sin fin de accesorios que puedes ir complementando. Debes considerar que adicional a este accesorio debes comprar un SmallRig 1409 - Barra de Seguridad de liberación rápida de 4 cm de Largo con Tornillos de 1/4" para que puedas usarlo, de lo contrario no funcionará.

Très bonne poignée, légère et solide. Le grip en silicone est agréable. Une multitude de points de fixation sont disponibles pour venir installer d'autre accessoires, tels qu’un écran externe par exemple. Et là, prendre des photos au ras du sol sans se contorsionner devient un jeu d’enfant. Smallrig c'est toujours du bon matériel de conception ingénieuse à prix abordable. Toujours penser à bien serrer la pince NATO du fait du poids cumulé de tous les accessoires montés.

Very very impressive

Great, I bought it because I needed to use a NATO rail for the handle and a 3/8 Arri locating pin for the monitor. It's super light and durable, beautifully made. Also tested with an Easyrig hook, several days of filming, and the rubber part is still holding and the hook is also holding perfectly in place.
