LG BH16NS55.AUAR10B 16 x Internal SATA BDRW Kit

After researching, found this drive to be the technically best drive available: 16X, M Disk, 128GB capable, writes CD/DVD & Bluray, quietplay and skipless play Firmware 1.02 will also apparently play Ultra HD Blurays, but this has now been blocked in Firmware 1.03, which my drive came with. Cant find official firmware updates or tools, but there is community tools out there Been using for a few days .. seems really great ... quiet ... 30 secs to access a bluray movie I held off buying a pc bluray drive until there was a free downloadable bluray player for pc. I waited 10 years. That day is finally here Its called Leawo and seems great, slick etc. As i write this i have my Nightwish Live Bluray picture in picture ... happy days In retail kit, screws, sata cables, manual and cyberlink media cd ... no blank media LED on front is blue .. mine was manufactured Dec 17 .... only a month old

Purchased this to replace my aging external blu-ray drive and I'm very pleased with this unit. It's fast, quiet and efficient, and works flawlessly as far as I can tell. Really great read/write speeds on standard dvds and it burns/reads blu-ray extremely well - albeit a tad slower. It does run a little hot, so if you're burning or reading a lot of dvds or blu-ray I would recommend doing so in small batches of 10-15 max and then give this unit 30 minutes or so to cool down again. Following this regime I've not made a single coffee coaster since installing the device. Unlike my previous writer which would barf on one in ten on average.

I bought this to replace my old drive which had its tray stop working. I use it for playing my Blu-ray movies and for creating backups of my data. It functions perfectly for both of these uses. It came with an outdated version (version 12) of CyberLink's Media Suite which reminds you every time you start it that there is a newer version available (version 14) that you have to pay for to upgrade. You can of course use your own software you may already have or purchase something else that suits you better but for free bundled software it's not bad.

Only lasted a few years with hardly any use at all and then stopped working. It will no longer burn discs even though the drivers are all installed and it's recognised by the PC. Lately it had started making a grinding noise on starting up the PC and I didn't think anything of it until I tried to burn a disc. The old Samsung DVD burner is back in and still working great but obviously can't burn Blu-ray which was the reason for buying this.

Really happy with this LG BH16NS55 BDRW drive for my new PC build. I was debating between the Pioneer and this drive and eventually decided to go with this one. I was actually a little concerned at first because after installing Windows and then putting in the new ASUS motherboard DVD in the drive, the drive was hideously loud. It turns out the ASUS DVD must have been slightly warped as it sounded awful in another drive! After installing my software I preceded to burn some different types of media off and benchmark the performance etc. Really impressed with the drive, it's actually very quiet during all operations and hit the rated speeds for all the tests I tried (even surpassed the speeds slightly in some tests). It has a very neat feature which my previous drives didn't have which is that it dynamically adjusts the speed of the disc to provide the quietest level of playback. It seems to work really well for what I tried it with. Just be aware that the provided software is Cyberlink Media Suite 10 which is actually really old (Version 15 is out now). I did not install the provided software on my Windows 10 PC because the chances are it probably hasn't been properly tested with that OS and it may not work correctly. Perhaps it will work fine but I did not want to take that chance! All in all a great drive. I haven't tested the M-Disc or QL BDXL burning yet but if my current experience is anything to go by then it should be seamless

The product works. The main thing I dont like is there is no support! There are no electronic manuals and firmware anywhere. The product does exist on LG's UK site because this particular model is produced and manufactured in the Netherlands. The Netherlands support claim there is no firmware/software required for this drive other than software such as Nero required. Therefore any changes to discs etc wont be updated. A big let down!

Only had this for a week or so, but all Blu-Ray discs I have burned have been without problems or errors. Very reliable drive, so far. The drive is nice and fast, spin-up time is fast, if a wee bit noisy. It can read all my old DVD -R/+R discs, along with music CDs and CDRs. When you think how far we've come, 10 years ago DVD writers would have cost more than this drive does today.

Arrived Quick Easy to Install Worked perfectly Burned every disc I've thrown at it with no errors so far Burns every type of disc currently available I've burned cd,cd-rw,dvd,25gb bd and bd-re also triple layer 100gb bd re discs latest version 4.0 M-Disc support but not burned any yet. Came with Cyberlink 10 but I've used windows burner, Anyburn and Burnaware free to burn data to the disc's. I got the best speed with burnaware and no coasters with any so I would recommend burnaware. Burnaware also supports the T-L 100gb disc's

Ho acquistato questo masterizzatore in sostituzione di un altro LG che non funzionava più (non riconosceva più i dischi). A mio avviso i masterizzatori LG sono molto versatili perché masterizzano pressoché ogni formato di disco (CD, DVD o Blu-Ray, anche gli M-Disc ) di tutte le capacità esistenti e in questo ambito penso che siano i più completi. Inoltre ho masterizzato nel tempo DVD e Blu-Ray di diverse marche (anche economiche) senza mai avere problemi di nessun tipo. Questo masterizzatore in particolare è perfetto in fase di masterizzazione ed è più veloce in fase di lettura rispetto ai precedenti LG che ho avuto (faccio sempre il controllo di lettura dati dopo aver masterizzato e impiega la metà del tempo rispetto al precedente che avevo). L'unico dubbio che ho sui masterizzatori LG è che siano un po' "fragili", dato che in passato ne ho già avuti due di cui il primo mi è durato poco più di due anni e il secondo mi è durato 1 anno e sei mesi (reso ad Amazon in quanto ancora in garanzia). L'uso che ne faccio non è troppo intensivo, in quanto lo uso quasi esclusivamente per masterizzare (mediamente masterizzo una decina di Blu-Ray a settimana) mentre lo utilizzo pochissimo per leggere. Speriamo che questo BH16NS55 si dimostri più longevo dei suoi predecessori LG. Per il resto, finora lo reputo un ottimo masterizzatore. La versione venduta e spedita da Amazon è arrivata nella scatola originale contenente anche le viti e il cavo SATA, con l'ultima versione di firmware già installata (v1.3). Aggiorno la recensione dopo quasi un anno di utilizzo: il masterizzatore è ancora perfetto e finora non mi ha bruciato un solo CD, DVD o Blu-Ray che ho masterizzato. In questo anno ho masterizzato qualche centinaio di Blu-Ray Mediarange da 25 Gb, alcuni Blu-Ray Sony da 25 Gb, alcuni Blu-Ray M-Disc Milleniata da 25 Gb, un centinaio di DVD di diverse marche sia singolo strato (DVD5), che doppio strato (DVD9), alcuni CD di marche diverse. Al momento sono soddisfattissimo dell'acquisto e mi sento di consigliarlo a occhi chiusi. Mi riservo di aggiornare la recensione nel caso in cui insorgano problematiche.

Das ist eines der wenigen Laufwerke, die einem ermöglichen auch bis zu 100 GB große UHDs auf einem PC wiederzugeben. Aktuell hat das Laufwerk allerdings die Firmwareversion 1.02 drauf und das Einlesen dieser Disks geht nur mit 1.01. Dazu bitte im Internet danach suchen, man benötigt ein spezielles Flash-Programm für das Downgrade und die Version 1.01. Das Laufwerk funktioniert ansonsten sehr gut und ich besitze inzwischen schon zwei davon. Meine hört man nur wenige beim ersten Einlesen, beim Abspielen von Disks ist es quasi unhörbar. Ich finde es etwas teuer aber die CD/DVD Reader/Writer scheinen insgesamt teurer geworden zu sein und ich finde das Laufwerk ist den Preis aufgrund der großen Flexibilität in den unterschiedlichen Disks, die es verarbeiten kann, absolut wert. Hoy en dia creo que es el estándar que debería tener cualquier dispositivo. No es que lo use mucho porque el contenido en bluray lo suelo descargar y tener de forma interna en ordenador pero alguna película si que he visto en calidad bluray y en disco que me han prestado y además te permite copiar discos de la misma calidad entre otras cosas. Además debéis saber que tenéis la seguridad de garantía de LG. También comprendo que para muchos es lo último en la lista de la compra de un ordenador nuevo y que es totalmente imprescindible pero si dispones de presupuesto os invito a comprarlo porque está muy bien de precio en comparación a otros lectores/grabadores. Muy buena calidad. Además es muy fácil instalar y conectarle la fuente de alimentación. Lo recomiendo al 100%

Tout d'abord, ce n'est pas explicitement mentionné dans le descriptif mais c'est bien la "version boite" dont il s'agit ici (donc la version complète avec un programme pour la lecture des BluRay fourni avec). Il y a tout ce qu'il faut déjà fourni pour l'installation (qui n'est en soit pas bien compliquée). Le lecteur en lui même est bien plus silencieux que mon bon vieux graveur de DVD précédent, ce qui est un plus indéniable. Je n'ai eu aucun problème de gravure (je n'ai donc eu aucun CD/DVD/BluRay à jeter à la poubelle ce qui commançait à m'arriver de plus en plus souvent avec mon ancien graveur). Coté lecture, il a lu sans problèmes sur le PC les BluRay de films du commerce. Coté gravure, aucun problèmes constaté, que ce soit avec les CD/DVD ou les BluRay. Je ne peux pas me prononcer sur les M-DISCs vu que je n'en ai pas acheté. Les galettes gravées ont toutes été reconnues et lues sans problèmes sur mon lecteur DVD/BluRay de salon. Donc, aucun problèmes de compatibilité constaté. Pour info, mon OS est Windows 8.1 et les BluRay testés sont les VERBATIM BD-R SL 25GB DATALIFE HTL. Cela fait maintenant plusieurs mois que j'utilise ce graveur et il me donne entière satisfaction. Il est complet, silencieux et rapide et il fait le job, net et sans bavures.

Masterizzatore acquistato per sostituire un vecchio Pioneer Blu-Ray che non scriveva i dischi MediaRange da 50GB. Il prodotto è arrivato entro i tempi previsti, in largo anticipo rispetto all'ultima data disponibile. Perfettamente confezionato dal venditore (è in versione bulk, quindi senza scatola originale), comprende il masterizzatore, un cavo SATA, un cavo di alimentazione, manuali e CD con software CyberLink. Sono rimasto colpito dalla data di immatricolazione: ottobre 2015. Il prodotto è quindi nuovissimo (l'ho acquistato a dicembre dello stesso anno) e possiede le stesse caratteristiche del modello BH16NS40. Funzionamento perfetto sotto Windows 7: mi ha permesso di masterizzare i dischi MediaRange da 50GB, oltre ai comuni dischi da 25GB e i più vecchi DVD Verbatim, nonché di leggere senza problemi qualsiasi tipo di disco, CD compresi. Appena possibile proverò i Blu-Ray XL. Prodotto e venditore consigliatissimi!
