Soul Eater NOT! - Complete Series Collection [DVD] [NTSC]

This series is set before the events in Soul Eater, and follows the story of three girls as they join the Death Weapon Meister Acadamy. A school for people who are genetically configured to be able to turn themselves into weapons, and the people who use those weapons (meisters.) The three girls, Tsugami (a weapon,) and Meme and Annya who are both meisters, are very different in nature, but soon begin to form a firm friendship. With an art style nearer to K-on than the original Soul Eater, this might not be to everyone's taste, but it's cutesy cover belies a strong story, which builds to a dramatic, and satisfiying conclusion. There are cameo roles from many of the characters from the main series, which for me gave a great feeling of perspective, and belonging. Good comic moments, fun and exciting. If you can watch it as the DWMA from a different viewpoint, it's a wonderful anime... It's not Soul Eater It's Soul Eater N.O.T....but it's great !

This anime focuses on three girls new to the academy. It moves at a much slower pace than the original soul eater. It features welcome cameo appearances from some of the original characters and this does elevate it somewhat. As a stand alone anime this would probably dissapoint but its background and pedigree makes it worth having a look. Best thing about it is the fact that it inspired me to watch the original again. Best regarded as a competent companion to an amazingly good original.

have confession I've about 50 bluerays and dvds waiting to be watched so very hard to review at the moment but saying that loved souleater great story and characters 👍 😀

region 2 locked so I'm stuck watching it with my computer for the moment

Came as region locked to Europe, so I have no way of actually playing it on my dvd right now. Any suggestions or ways to get the North American versions would be greatly appreciated.
