Solidly built item - works brilliantly
I was struggling to work on a bath tap (tucked out of the way) and realised I needed something like this to help. This item is really, really well made. The grip is excellent and, once in position, you just twist and then rotate back a bit to continue the process. If anything - I ended up overdoing it in the tightening and had to relax a nut to avoid a twisted flex-pipe. In short - yes it is a bit more expensive - but this will last.

Great tool
Was worried how chunky this tool was compared to my previous but it works perfectly Excellent grip Good reach with extended handle Good value

The tool you need to fit taps
As other reviewers have said, this is very nicely engineered - solid, all-metal and with a bit of weight to it. A stronger spring would be useful to help it grip knurled (rather than hexagonal) fittings better. You can buy conventional basin wrenches but they have fixed sizes: this will grip anything from 32mm down and (although it could be better) knurled fittings that a conventional basin wrench would be unable to grip at all.

Good quality
Purchased this wrench for replacing the taps on my bath tub. The connections were located in very confined space but I was able to unscrew them and fit new taps with this tool. I doubt if I would have been able to get the job done without it. It's s very sturdy and well made.

Professional plumber review
Good quality but the end is a little big and sometimes leaves little space around the tap nut to actually turn. However I find I use my Monument 345v tap wrench more often (It works better in tight spaces and is my go-to wrench). The length of the shaft is adjustable which comes in handy for low baths or where the pipework allows little space to work.

Pleased.
I was having a frustrating time replacing the mixer taps under a bath with cramped access. I already had a basin wrench but it was too long and also the jaw didn't open enough. Four stubborn nuts were giving me grief - in part from limited access and that they'd been for around 17 years. This bit of kit worked wonderfully on three of the nuts but the fourth just wouldn't budge! I had to resort to a saw in the end. The T bar cannot be removed - it just slides from one side to the other- presumably, so it won't get lost. I just couldn't get enough leverage on the bar to dislodge the fourth nut. I kept thinking that it would have been great had the T bar been removable to enable a longer bar to be inserted to give it that little oomph.

Excellent grip, very well made
This is a little pricier than most but I had two very hard to reach taps that had to come off a sink fastened with plastic nuts (don't ask, I did not fit them.) This piece of kit made short work of loosening them off, the clamp is very good. It is long with a good teeth that gripped tight and it took one go for each one. It is extendable with no play in the handle. I have no doubt it will last me for years.

Ive used a lot of crappy basin wrenches, and decided to buy this one after the last one broke. Probably the nicest basin wrench out there, perfect. Only thing, its made in Taiwan not Germany, to some people this might be a big deal.
