Pettex Roman Gravel Black Sand 8 kg

So this is probably the best sand on amazon, hands down. It has a perfect texture, no piece is too big or too small. The sand itself is very plant friendly and is nice and black (not greyish). Very easy to open and pour the sand into your aquarium. I didnt wash it at all, just put it straight into my tank. No cloudiness whatsoever! It supports plant root systems very well. Overall, great value for money and i would 100% recommend! (Forgive the detritus in the image, my nerite poops a lot)

If youre gonna buy this definitely buy it from HERE! you go to any fish stores they see the word mug written on your forehead and rinse you out. If you got 120cm width tank upto 300 Litres tank 2 bags is more than enough. Been watching too much YouTube and been wanting the dream set up and finally got it done these look amazing and really make the colour of any fishes pop. Alot of the reviews saying they didnt have to wash them to be honest even when i did rinse them i saw no particles or dirty water being drained was clean already out the bag just your choice if you want to rinse them to be on the safe side. Enjoying that minimalistic look🤩

Seems fine so far, was surprisingly very clean only rinsed it once and it was clear , I mixed with the Fluval stratum that I already had from previous and there is a noticeable colour difference, seems more of a grey then black against the stratum but it don’t look too bad

Really impressed with this fine gravel! Yes it's not jet black like some customers have complained but I actually really like the dark grey colour. It looks great in the tank and when cleaning it beforehand barely any dust came out of it at all. Would highly recommend especially at this price! Same size of bag will set you back £18 in a well known pet shop chain. Added to a 50l tank and still have half a bag. Can't fault this at all.

Brilliant substrate, Great value at £13 a bag I ordered 3*8kg bags for a 4*2*1 bow front (260litres) and it covers the base of the tank just nicely. Didn't even have to wash it the sand is very clean and simply poured it in with no clouding etc. It comes out like very, very small round pellets in-between coarse sand and ultra fine gravel which is better than I expected, it is also a more of a slate colour than pure black looking natural and really makes the fish and plants "pop". Have attached pictures of my tank thrown quickly together after a house move and even in this state it looks great

this is really fine sand it comes in 8KG bags and it is full to busting when it arrives - it needs a good wash though dont put it n your tank without cleaning it properly - it is easy to deal with when wet rather than dry - its not really gravel its fine sand to colour is like a deep grey / black colour and my fish love to sift through it - i think it is very good value for money i bought 4 bags and it did a good thick layer to 272 litre tank
