Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Arabic students textbook - This is an essential book for anyone wanting to master Arabic grammar. For a complete beginner it would be quite dry and intense, but very rewarding. It quickly introduces the concept of the Arabic root system, which once you have grasped it,greatly helps in recognising a family of related words. I highly recommend also buying the companion text book "Mastering Arabic",by the same authors,to get the CD that accompanies it.The language then comes alive with imaginative scenes created, with Arabic dialogue, to reinforce what you learn from the textbook. And the text content of the latter book is more approachable, interesting and often quite amusing. It is a beautiful language and I'm sure after making progress through these two books you will be as inspired as I am to learn more about the Arab world and its people. Review: They never fail! - Wightwich and Gaafar simply never fail! This is, I think, the 5th of their products which I have bought and I have found it to be incredibly useful. All of the chapters are laid out in a simple to use way and explain exactly what you need to know without using laborious vocabulary. Each grammar point is well explained and I have found it to be a great aid for grammar practice. It is worth noting also that the activities are useful as well!

Really helpful book
I am very satisfied with this book. I have just started to learn arabic myself few month ago. I`ve learned the letters from the Teach yourself book, which was also very good, then I bought just this grammar book. The explanations are simple and understandable, the exercises are useful, on the basis of those you can do more practice yourself. I did not plan to buy the course book itself, but now I am thinking about it. The only mistake of the book is that they don`t put on the vowel signs everywhere, which would be really very important for beginners. Otherwise I can recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn the basics of the arabic grammar.

Clear and straightforward guide to assist learning Arabic grammar.
This is a great accompaniment to the Mastering Arabic series as it deals with Arabic grammar in more detail and offers more explanation and guidance. It could easily be used as a stand alone guide or reference tool, although it can also be read quite quickly as it is not very lengthy.

A very helpful book
This book is very nicely laid out and the presentation is helpful. It is useful for both beginners and those who are already familiar with the language to some extent and aim to develop it further. It introduces basic grammar right from the beginning and builds up as you go through the chapters.

Great method of learning Arabic grammar
Great method of learning Arabic grammar. Not for a raw beginner, as it assumes some reading, writing & vocab skills. Probably start using it about halfway through the Mastering Arabic 1. The Mastering Arabic books all compliment each other .

I first met these authors when I borrowed their Michel Thomas' CDs on the Arabic language. Now I am tackling the written word and struggling. This book, partly, no doubt because I learned to trust these authors, is still a struggle, but well worth using, for me slowly, with a lot of repetition. If you have found other books on this subject fo0xing, try this.

This book paired well with our Arabic 1 and 2 curriculum book. The explanations/lessons are simple and direct, where some books are not. Excellent supplement for practice.

Fatto molto bene. Chiaro, sintetico esaustivo. Peccato sia in inglese.

This Grammar book has been an awesome addition to the other Mastering Arabic Textbooks that I've been using over the past few months. It is well made, the lessons are logically laid out and easy to understand for a beginner. In addition there are many pictures and the exercises help to ingrain the information in an interactive manner. All the Arabic vocabulary is given with diacritics when presented for the first time and then as you become familiar with the basic words and phrases, the diacritics are used less and less. I would highly recommend using this Grammar book in combination with Mastering Arabic 1. Many of the elements and lessons are given are taught in both books but it is extremely helpful to have the information repeated twice in two different ways. It makes it feel less overwhelming since you are learning so much new information at once.

Quite thin but with lots of exercises.

Every word written at the back of the book (see photo) is true. In the last 20 years I took Dutch as a foreign language and then French and now Arabic. Based on this experience, I dare to say that this is the best grammar book for a foreign language that I ever used. I had no difficulty to use it as self study. All the information you need in a very clear explanation, short and compact. Few text lines for theory, some examples that cover all the possibilities and exercises (with answers at the end of the book). Simple, clear explanation and you see a quick progress. Very motivating. Moreover, it is unbelievable: this book makes learning grammar fan!
