Very good player/recorder, microphone is good quality, speaker is a tad on the tinny side but not too tinny where it's unbearable it has a good amount of bass on it to listen to your tapes. Makes good music recordings if you can switch to mono on a device like a tv and a few inches away from speaker and volume not turned up too much or otherwise it can result in distorting the recording. Only had one incident of a tape being eaten but diddn't happen again, so far so good, could of been that the tape had some slack on it and I haddn't realized. Radio is good. Have used this player on the bus before now. I would highly recomend you buy this if your on a low budget and you need a decent portable player/recorder. Takes 2 aa batteries and can also be powerd by usb which is also good. Had it a few months now and it has been a good player. I'm happy with my purchase.

Excellent product good quality

The Groove-e portable Retro cassette player and recorder is pretty good , it sounds okay ,but I had to use my one sony earphones, as the ones supplied were a little dull, the radio is good but found it pretty difficult to tune in to a radio station , but once there the sound was good, but the the equipment is not as good as my old AIWA , but there again very good for the price. At lease I can listen all my old cassette.

Started off promising as connected to Bluetooth headphones very easily, but it hasn’t worked properly since the moment I got it- plays at a very slow speed and randomly stops and only speeds up if the right hand side of the player is pushed in. Completely inaudible. Checked with 5 different cassettes and happens with all of them. Currently in the process of returning.

Reliable and cheap. I carry it everywhere and it consistently works. The only issue I have had is that the capstans do t take much resistance to stop turning so some tapes won’t play however it isn’t a common issue and changing the shell of the tape usually fixes it (most of my tales have sat in a garage for secession in poor storage so it’s probably just my issue). Also this is a feature not a bug so that the tape isn’t broken when it reaches the end. Microphone picks up noise of machine itself due to being embedded and I would’ve like a slot to plug in another but not a big deal. Other reviews have said that the recording button doesn’t work however I suspect it’s a user error. Tapes have anti recording protection to stop someone accidentally deleting their music. The recording button can’t be pressed unless the holes are taped over (there is a lever underneath that detects it) and the recording button can’t be pressed if the level is not pressed. Overall very pleased and well worth the money if planning to listen with headphones or a speaker (inbuilt speaker is low quality). Reliable device that I use all the time. Delivery was good, packaged & easy follow instructions, does everything as advertised. Auto reverse, record's,TX or Receive , Bluetooth working as advertised.build quality is ok at this price range ,oh and onboard speaker is ok as long as you're not expecting hifi quality.now the bad bits? It's well documented that if you want quality recordings, decent playback sound,do not buy this play/recorder,it's sounds like a bucket of nails? If you want this buy a vintage cassette deck! I suppose I didn't expect anymore than what I paid for, it's a shame because I'm sure for a few quid more better rec/play heads would attract more buyer's that would welcome paying a bit extra, I'm certainly one of them

My son loves it, batteries last long time, day 5 and still playing good. Only shame with the radio,can only find one station. The recordings on new tape not great quality.

Does the job just fine!

Realy pleased with it. At first, the cassette was playing a lttle bit to fast, but on the back of the walkman is a hole and you can insert a small slit screwdriver and adjust the speed. I was surprised that the AM radio picked up so many stations, thing that I have problems with normal radios. Audio quality is not amazing: no bass, high pitch tones. I think a simple capacitor mounted at the audio exit could remove this high pitch tones, but overall: nice device.

Look agréable, un plaisir de réécouter des anciennes K7, qualité audio médiocre par contre avec les écouteurs cela est meilleur mais à ce prix-là il est évident qu’on ne peu pas avoir de la hi fi, capte bien la FM, mais il mérite quand même 5 étoiles pour son look et prix.

I purchased this item for a 90 year old gentleman who has been unable to buy one. He is very happy with it. Playing his old tapes is passing the time when we can’t go anywhere. I thought I was lucky when I googled this item and I had an Account with you. Your service is great. Thank you.

the cassette player is a special treat, its throwback look and easy use is one of the many perks of this item, I recommend using 60 minute tape, any tape will due(high quality) and your set and if theirs no access to a cassette tape its awesome radio function allows you to listen to your favourite stations where ever or when ever.
