This product is amazing, I used to get very expensive hair relaxer kits (phitospecific)but none of them has such an amazing results like optimum care anti breakage. My hair is mixed. Its very curly, coarse, and with lots but lots of frizz. This relaxer is easy to apply, has a very easy guide so you can do it yourself, doesnt smell at all, and after 20 minutes I got the results I was looking for. My hair is straight and it feels and looks lovely. I have tried relaxers in hair dressers, kits at home, etc and I definatelly sticking with this one. I recommend this product for someone that has thick and coarse hair. Excellent product, I wish I bought it a long time ago. PD; the range of products from optimum care is also excellent I am using the mosturizer and oil balm, they are doing wonders for my damaged hair.

This is my first time using this relaxer and I am so impressed, it has instructions of the step guide which is efficient and a pre- treatment before putting the relaxer on which many other brand relaxers do not have. I found this relaxer to be a miracle to straighten my hair easier with no complications compared to Mega Growth no lye relaxer which did not do the job , with making sure especially my strands was straight and not a coily texture . My only concern I have with this product is the price of it being around £13 if it was slightly cheaper around (£9-£10) then it would match Pak Cosmetics Price so far so good and please do not use this product if your hair type doesn't range from 3b-4c as it might cause your strands of hair to fall out.

Very good hair relaxer. I have sensitive skin to relaxer and scalp tends to burn easily but this doesn’t cause that irritation. Highly recommend

I got fed up with my regular hairdresser charging me a fortune for burning my scalp with products that only lasted in my hair until the first wash, so I decided - in part based on the reviews - to buy this product and try doing my hair myself. And I must say, I'm thrilled with results. My hair looks far better than when I emerge from the hairdresser at a fraction of the cost. This product didn't burn my scalp but then I was careful to only keep the product in my hair for minimum time recommended. After following all the instructions carefully, my hair is relaxed, glossy and already feels better. And I love the pre-conditioner that you apply before the relaxer and the leave-in strengthener and leave in conditioner which gets applied before you blow-dry your hair. I'm very pleased and will be buying this again.

Product itself is great, a gentle relax and my hair doesn’t feel brittle or thin after, but I won’t buy from here again due to the product arriving broken and having spilt in the box. Luckily it was only one of the conditioning creams

Good quality product, has all these pre care and after care products that come along with the relaxer to support minimum breakage and it worked. No burnt scalp and hardly any hair falling. Came out nice and relaxed, shiny a week later I’ve washed hair again and it’s in good health. Will buy again. Happy 4c hair lady x

Started with shoulder length hair. How I have a bowl cut because all of my hair immediately snapped off .... I only left the mixture in for 10 mins!!!! Wich was half the adviced time I now have very little hair left. Devistated. My scalp is all burnt and scabby. Even though I applied pre treatment and followed instructions.

I purchased the Optimim to be used with the Cholestrol. Have used both products together for many years. The Optimum works great if used as directed. It is easy to use and leaves the hair silky feeling to the touch. I use the regular formula and have found that it is not harsh on the scalp. I highly recommend it!

I did a bunch of research on all the relaxers I could find on amazon and this one took the top option. I looked for hours at other reviews on other products etc. and this one not only had the most reviews but a good mix of all types of reviews. I also watched a bunch of videos on YouTube before starting this process. The product itself got to me super fast, instructions were easy to follow, and the steps were clearly labeled and if you follow them to a 'T' it will work for you. I didn't experience any burning until washing out and only for a second. As soon as you use the shampoo, it stoped. my hair doesn't feel fry or brittle, I do recommend a mask with protein of some sort after your first two shampoos. (Shampoo, protein treatment/mask then another shampoo) and then continue with the rest of the steps provided. Over all, I wish the gloves were better quality because they slip and slide on your hands while using product I ended up changing them for better ones, I had a little bit of product left over which I always see as a good sign.But it was over all and great easy process, no pain and I am defiantly repurchasing when needed.

I followed all the steps included in the kit during the first application, but it only gave me about 40% straightening. My hair was a little more controlled, but still had volume and waves. The next day, we decided to try something different: we applied only Step 2 (the straightening cream) and then used a blow dryer with heat right after applying it. That’s when the results were amazing — my hair turned out 100% straight, smooth, and shiny. So yes, the product works, but it seems like the key is applying heat properly during Step 2. I would recommend it for people who are comfortable experimenting a bit with the process to get the best results.
