Allergy Adult Nasal Spray - 20 ml, 140 Doses

Having suffered from hay fever all my life (over 50 years!) and tried every treatment possible, from antihistamine pills (over the counter and precription medicine), drops, sprays, injections, inhalers etc, and all the unpleasant side effects that go with them - this is the first product I have found that really seems to work. Such a simple idea too, in that a fine gel coats the inside of the nose and so stops any pollen or dust from causing irritation. I began using it six weeks ago, and have not had a streaming nose or the sneezing that I always suffer every summer, originally from May to August - but these days the season seems to begin earlier and I often now start in April. Last week I went out into the garden and pruned lots of shrubs and bushes with an electric trimmer, which would normally have had me suffering from hay fever for the rest of the day as there was clouds of pollen in the air, but I did not suffer any symptoms at all. To me, that was an absolute miracle! Recently I started getting a cold, which with me always begins in the lungs and then moves up to the throat, and a few days later I develop a streaming nose and the sneezing associated with a head cold, but this time I only had a bad throat. Now this might be an absolute coincidence, but I wondered if the coating of the inside of my nose with Prevalin stopped it developing into a full blown head cold? I would say that the down side is that you do feel a little blocked for the first hour or so after using it, but this clears. Also it smells exactly like toothpaste! So you do have to get used to a minty smell up your nose. It says that a bottle lasts one month, but I have found that after using it about three times a day, the bottle was empty after three weeks. However, it does say 1 or 2 squirts up each nostril - and I find now that really 1 squirt up each nostril is sufficient, so maybe it would last a month on that basis. Although it prevents most of the symptoms of hay fever, it cannot however prevent itchy eyes, so I still have to wear dark glasses when outside, and some anti-allergy eye drops if my eyes feel itchy or watery. But if you suffer the misery of hay fever, and the constant nose streaming and sneezing that each summer brings, then I can certainly recommend that you give this product a try, as it is certainly the best relief/prevention I have found so far.

Okay so I had mixed feelings about this product given the extremes expressed in favour and against I read in the customer comments. Does this product work? Yes. Best relief I've had this seasons. My sinuses thank Prevalin from the bottom of their heart. Does this product hurt? This is difficult to answer given everyone's discomfort levels are different so this is really subjective. Yes it stings at first, and then for about 5 minutes after, but seriously!! It lasts for 6 years!! It is WORTH it! Having now read the instructions included in the box, I can confirm it hurts less is you use the product according to manufacturers instructions. Does this product go gloomy? Not if you shake it well. Also, if you press the pump down slowly, it will shoot a solid jet of liquid in the air about 30 cm! don't do that up your nose! Dispense swiftly and a small cloud of mist is dispensed. This is the way to do it. Righting other wrongs: one user claims it doesn't tell you to blow your nose first. a) blowing your nose is common sense, if you buy a light switch you don't need to be told you need to connect it to an electricity supply before you might use it to turn on a light bulb b) it says quite clearly you must blow your nose first before using the product. This product works by coating the nasal passageways, clearly the emptier this passageways are the better the product is able to line the walls of the passageways. Do you gloss your woodwork before sanding it? Think peplum THINK! Price £5.00 for a product that has a lifespan of 90 days on it once opened. That's approximately 6p a day. Who wouldn't pay that to alleviate the horrific side-effects of acute hay fever?

i tried this and it just didnt feel right, i always felt like i wanted to blow my nose. it did stop some of the symptoms but i had to reapply a lot and found the process annoying. I still think it is worth trying because everyone is different and lots of people seem to like it but i saw another review like mine that mentioned trying Care Allergy Defence (nasaleze) instead and i prefer that one and have been able to give up anti histamines and beconase by using that. just a heads up that if one doesnt work for you try the other.

This has got to be the best hay fever treatment I have found yet, No drugs involved. I have had hay fever for as long as I can remember and have got used to using an arsenal of pills, eye drops and steroid sprays to keep it at bay every year. I bought this based on online reviews and I am pleasantly surprised. Seems to work straight away with no sneezing at all despite high pollen levels. I haven't had any problems with device failing to spray after using it for a while as some reviewers have found. I have just made sure that I shake it multiple times before spraying. The minty smell and greasy feeling in my nose took a little getting used to but it is certainly not offensive. I have not had to use a steroid nasal spray at all this year so far and I hope this continues. I would much prefer not to have to put drugs up my nose if possible and so far, so good. It has been so good that I am now recommending this to my own patients instead of their usual steroid sprays and I am getting great reports already.

As a sufferer of perennial rhinitis for most of my life I do think that this product helps, and is in fact similar to First Defence the cold prevention spray in as much that it lines your nasal membranes. However, even though I was not using it to the full dosage the spray only lasted for little over a week before it turned turned from an aerosol spray into a blobby jet, this was despite vigorous shaking every time I used the product. So it's good when it works but the actual spray doesn't work for the month specified on the box and is therefore a very expensive product, even at half the price charged by Boots.

Dieses Spray legt einen Schutzfilm über die Nasenschleimhaut und halten die Pollen äußerst effizient ab. Ich hab's beim Urlaub in England entdeckt. Es war ein echter Segen. Benutzt man es nur selten, trocknet es ein und verklebt. Ich denke, da lässt sich schlecht was gegen machen. Pro Tipp 1: Häufig verwenden. Pro Tipp 2: Einfach 2 Flaschen kaufen. Ist eine verklebt, kann man schnell auf die neue umsteigen. Ungeöffnet hält es recht lange.

Gut wie erwartet. Schafft die starke Allergie Periode zu überwinden. Ich empfehle es immer gerne weiter. Bis zum nächsten Einkauf!
