This thing is a workhorse!
This is not the first singer heavy duty I have owned. I have one that broke because of my own stupidity. And of course I broke it while I was in the middle of a project. So that one's in the shop and being the impatient person I am, I decided to buy a second one to finish my project. It's sews like a dream! The speed is spectacular, it's easy to thread, and it has enough stitches to keep me happy. I find I don't need a lot of stitches because I'm not into machine embroidery or anything like that. I basically sew garments, bags, etc and straight, zigzag, a couple of stretch stitches, and a few decorative stitches are all I need. This is a great machine if somebody wants to start out because it's inexpensive and it works very well.

Amazing!
Such an amazing sewing machine. Very easy to use and follow instructions. Definitely worth every penny! Another plus was how quiet this machine is.

great sewing machine
After my old machine gave out last year, I’m glad I upgraded to this model. The speed is much faster, which seems to help me achieve straighter lines. The light around the needle is a great touch, and the automatic needle threader is perfect for those of us who struggle with farsightedness. I do wish a printed manual had been included to save me the trouble of searching online. However, based on the digital manual and the parts included in the box, the machine offers great help with advanced tasks like zippers and buttons. It seems possible for even a beginner like me to become a professional tailor—haha! I do hope that a bag for the machine is provided. Well, with this machine, I guess I can make one for myself.

4 Molle Web + 2 1000D Fabric Easy!
Fantastic!! Truly Heavy Duty for a great price! I work with 1000D Fabrics, Molle Webbing, Velcro, and Eva Foam as Fabric Materials. This machine handles 4 Layers of Molle Webbing + 2 Layers of 1000D fabric with ease! Granted, I did already bend the stock needle that it came out-of-the-box with, but the included 100/16 Needle has proven more durable! I was debating between this or the 4411, but the 4452 has more accessories that's more affordable to purchase together with more stitch options. Although, I don't really plan to use a lot of different stitch options since I was also debating on an industrial machine that only has 1 stich option. I truly believe this is a "Heavy Duty" Sewing Machine, and the people who say 'don't buy into "Heavy Duty"' may just lack a bit more experience with different machines. I had a Viking Emerald 116, that the salesman said was good enough to be heavy duty but was not labeled "Heavy Duty," and although I used it for 3 years, it struggled with every project. My Viking finally broke, but I wish it broke sooner or just bought the SINGER Heavy Duty 4452 Machine at the beginning!

Good but could be just a tad better.....pricing is good for what I got.
They say it has 50 percent more power.....than what....???? I wish they provided a kit that I could use to soup up this unit to get a bit more power, another 25% or more and I would pay anohter hundred. I like all the features otherwise and hope this unit will last like the kenmores and singers of the past. I also hope the unit is all metal gears, because the plastic one always broke within a couple of years. I ususually like the singer stitching and mostly the adjustments in the old machines. So far the thread looping is okay, works some of the time and top loading is more convenient. They should sell this machine with an optional carrying case and have aftermarket accessories to make the unit stronger and more convenient. I soup up my cars, so what not a sewing machine?

This machine is a piece of JUNK
I have been sewing my entire life. Never have I used such a poorly designed machine. Whoever designed this thing must not have known how to sew. A few of the bad features: 1. The walking foot doesn't have a place to attach a quilting guide. Since the walking foot is primarily where this type of guide is used, I don't know what they were thinking. I've had to use a walking foot from another brand of sewing machine in order to use a guide. I also used the guide from the other machine, since the one Singer provides is awkward and stupid. And it should be TWO guides; which one you use depends on what direction you are quilting in. 2. You have to unscrew the needle plate to get underneath it and clean out lint. And even then, it's practically impossible to get at all of it. In other machines, I can just pop off that plate and clean as often as I need to. And it's a lot easier to clean once the plate is removed. 3. It's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to put on and take off the presser foot "ankle" or the walking foot. The machine won't let me get my hand in there to direct the screw to where it needs to go. I have very small hands, but even my small hands can't fit in there to work the screw. I have been sitting here cussing out this machine for this for the last hour, and I STILL haven't been able to get the walking foot back on (after the hassle of unscrewing the needle plate to clean). If I could just barely get the screw in its spot and get it started, then I could get in there with my screwdriver and finish the job. But the walking foot slides up and down the shaft and won't stay still long enough to get the screw into the hole - even if I COULD fit my little hand in there to do it. 4. This is not a true heavy duty machine. The presser foot cannot be raised more than the standard amount, so I can't fit several layers of fabric under it. I make purses and bags, and deal with LOTS of layers. This machine did not give me ANY advantage in dealing with all those layers. 5. It can sew very fast, but it's very noisy. And the stitching motion is jerky, not smooth. This machine is not fun to use at all. 6. If you want it for zig-zag stitches, forget about it and find another machine. I tried using a very simple zig-zag stitch on some cotton/lycra knit fabric, and it just made a tangled mess. The only stitch this machine can handle is a straight stitch. 7. It doesn't have the "needle down" feature. If I want to pivot - as I need to at the end of every row of straight quilting - I have to manually make sure the needle is down and then pivot. Total waste of time and motion. I wish I'd never bought this machine. Thank goodness I didn't pay much more than a couple of hundred bucks for it; that's still wasted money. As soon as I am able I will buy a much nicer machine that is TRULY HEAVY DUTY to replace it. I know I am comparing a low-cost Singer with other more expensive machines, but many of these poor design features would be very simple and low cost to fix. It's infuriating.

Esta máquina es excelente, tiene buena velocidad, no hace ruido, es apta para las agujas industriales, cose muy muy bien los jeans hasta el cuero , esa función que tiene es excelente , y claro es más o menos pesada pero por qué es máquina de las buenas

Good machine and quick to deliver, however, when I purchased the machine it did NOT state it was coming from USA, consequently arrived with USA Plug and NOT Australian - cost me $50 AUS for a power reducer from 240V to 110V.
