Nakoma Rit Liquid Dye, Cocoa Brown, 8 oz

I bought this product to dye Raffia grass for staining it to add to camouflage for my Airsoft equipment. The colour hasn’t faded at all and so far lasts ages. You have to wear gloves otherwise, you will stain your hands! :) The amount of dye was plenty for the project I was undertaking and I was able to use it for multiply dunks of the raffia grass. I combined this dye with the yellow one which I used first. Excellent value for money. It was easy to use and the instruction were simple to follow.

Yeah so my towels turned Kermit the frog colour after using this. However, after a few washes the colour has calmed itself down and looks more like the colour on the bottle.

I’ve just found out to my pearl that this is a waste of money heard it’s great for dying converse I dyed them dark green they turned almost black after a 3 minute dip and it also dyed the soles dark green then remained almost black until dry but I found out a few great things after even though I wasted my money my time snd starting again I used a product called pre dye my cons where light blue 2 minutes in this stuff and it stripped the colour to like light cream result it also stripped the dye off the white soles I bought forest green dylon dye wow ! No salt no mess I just done the same as rit I emptied the plastic washing machine case in the bucket with warm water snd dipped the shoes in for about 2 minutes and result ! Nice dark green and pure white soles result ! So dylon all the way sorry rit is to much hassle and time wasting and mess sorry dylon from now on

I tried another famous brand first that me being British knew well, sadly it didn’t work my white curtains came out white not the smoke grey they were meant to be. I love the curtains they are voile with a cotton backing, but couldn’t get them in grey. I decided to try Rit, and I couldn’t be happier the color was charcoal grey and I’m extremely pleased with the result it said put salt or white vinegar depending on the material . (I did google and watch a video) . I thought in for a penny, so I put both in, and I did them in the washing machine I did use 4 bottles, but I’m pleased so I don’t care lol. Absolutely brilliant stuff I wouldn’t use any other make again except Rit.

My Granddaughter bought a white dress for a 'hen-do' as she couldn't find a pink one she liked. We used the whole bottle of dye in a jam pan with 12 pints of water, some salt and vinegar. It was polyester so we were unsure if it would work. However, it turned out brilliantly to a perfect pastel shade. We washed it in the washing machine and it stayed pink. Would recommend the product. Great job!

I bought it to experiment with dyeing process. Took an old jeans (almost white in color) followed the instructions on the bottle and the results are satisfactory. It gave a dark navy blue colour to the pants. Got a very intense Color as I had used the whole bottle. Fabric although hardens (becomes stiffer) after dyeing.

Use it to faded rain pants , it work well to restore black color
