Great power supply. Would recommend
Great little power supply. Using it now on my peddleboard for about 4 months and no issues. Its compact and have had no noise issues since installing it. Was using a daisy chain before and was getting unwanted noise and faint beeping. This eliminated the issue completely. There are ones that are a lot more expensive out there but this one did the job for me. Makes sure to check the power consumption of all your peddles 1st to make sure you have enough of each type of supply. This bank has 6 x 9v 100mA, 2 x 9v 500mA, 1 x 12v 500mA and 1 x 18v 500mA. A very good selction for this price point. Using the wrong supply for the peddle can cause issues. Appears to be individually isolated and has worked well for me. It is in a nice sturdy metal shell. It was also smaller than I thought it would be, which is an added bonus. Lights up well too and nice to have the feature to turn off the lights if you want. Would recommend

Good value, inexpensive power supply for the average user.
This is a decent power supply for the money. It is aimed mainly at the user who has a large number of relatively low-powered analogue pedals - overdrives, fuzzes, distortions, etc. - and a smaller number of pedals that typically require more current - reverb, chorus, delay, multieffect and so on - plus the ability to power the odd 12V or 18V pedal. All ten outlets are DC only: eight 9V, one 12V, and one 18V. Of the eight 9V outlets, six are limited to 100mA each, and two to 500mA. The 12V and 18V outlets are also 500mA each. All the outlets use the standard 2.1mm plug, centre negative. However you attach the effects, the current drain must not exceed the rated power for the outlet in question. The total power for the whole unit is stated to be 18 watts (18V x 1000mA). All the outlets will accept daisy chains, which can be used safely so long as the total current draw does not exceed the stated rating of the particular outlet. Note that these power ratings are maximums, not optimums. As usual, it's intelligent to avoid placing excessive demands on the power supply, particularly with digital effects. What are the limitations? None of the channels provides the ability to lower the supplied voltage, so 'sagging' the power - for example, to a fuzz - isn't possible. There is no facility to supply AC power, for those pedals that require it: all outlets are DC only. (Most pedals are DC: check before ordering.) Running a positive ground pedal is not possible. The 12V and 18V channels are not switchable, and will supply only those voltages: they can't be used as additional 9V outlets. This is offset by the ability to run a daisychain from one of the 9V channels if necessary. The individual outlets are short-circuit and overload protected, so if one fails it won't bring the whole unit down: but they are not 'isolated' in the true sense (galvanic isolation). If you want complete isolation of each outlet, you will have to pay a lot more. The unit is not intended to cope with pedals that place unusual demands on the power supply, such as: power draw in excess of 500mA; voltages other than those stated; sockets and plugs that are not 2.1mm (without adapters); AC power; or positive ground. This means that if you use - for example - a lot of Strymon, Line 6, or other high-power modulation-type pedals, or boutique copies of unusual old pedals, you would do well to look elsewhere (but if you can afford those, I assume that you wouldn't be looking for a cheap power supply anyway). Otherwise, for the ordinary user at home, or for light gigging, this inexpensive unit should be fine. Just make sure to check your pedals for voltage, current draw and polarity, and don't exceed the maximum power rating for any one channel. The unit has an all-metal case, appears to be decently constructed, and comes with its own 18V AC adapter. All necessary cables are supplied. The bright blue LEDs can be turned off if they are a visual distraction. I'm happy with my purchase.

Works well for the price
I've been using this for a week or two, it works well, nice and small, decent amount of length to the patch cables. I have had a few issues with grounding/earthing noise, noticeably disappears when I tough the footswitch on any of the pedals with my hand, I probably need to investigate which pedals are causing it, or see if there's an ordering issue. Probably not as good as a more expensive fully isolated power supply, but then again it's about a quarter of the price.

Great value for money
This is a fantastic power supply for the price point. It is robust and reliable and it won't be too long before it has paid for itself as you will never need a 9 volt battery again. Plus your conscious can be that little bit clearer as you are no longer using batteries which are more harmful to the environment. It has powers for 9v 12v or 18v pedals which is a nice feature at this price point. The unit also comes with 10 power cables to get you jamming straight away! I used my multi-meter to test for isolation. Each individual power outputs are not individually fully isolated which I understand the DP-4 is, however there is little hum when using this power supply. Make sure that you plug the DP-1 into the same extension cable as your amp for best results. At this price point, it is hard not to recommend this power supply! For the bedroom guitarist this would be more than good enough, and it will also be decent for gigging guitarists who don't have a big and complex pedalboard / or even just have in the gig bag as a backup.

Charges Your Pedals And Your Phone At The Same Time!
As a beginner in the world of pedals, I've always found having to have an extension lead for several pedals incredibly inconvenient. I've tried a multitude of different electric plugs with different ends and they've all been very unreliable and thus unsuitable for a live scenario. So after much frustration I went to search for a power supply. In my mind, they'd always been prohibitly expensive putting it out of the price range of an amateur musician. When I found this for such a low price, I was initially quite hesitant but after playing with it for the past few weeks, its played perfectly with no issues whatsoever. There's nearly no unwanted noise coming from the power supply, even when running through some pedals running on battery power and some plugged in, all of different makes. With ten outputs, I can put all of my pedals on at once with no issue. It's small size let's it fit into any pedal board with ease. You can even charge your phone from it (perfect if you use an app on your phone for tuning)! Overall, I cannot recommend this power supply enough, don't let the low price put you off getting it, it's well worth every penny!
