Excellent and affordable Android HU
This is my second Xtrons head unit after using the one before, TA101P, for over 6 years. Nothing wrong with the previous one except that it was dated and obselete, running on Android 7.1 with only 2gb ram, even Youtube refuse to boot up. With this updated model, with 8gb ram and rotating screen, it is like having my Android phone fixed to the car with an enlarged 10.1 inch screen. Running multiple apps like Youtube/Netflix + Google Maps was smooth. The only beef I have with Xtrons latest iterations of HUs is that they no longer comes with built in HDMI output port unlike the previous TA101P. So you will have to invest in a USB/HDMI adaptor, which is kinda pricey or be content with only RCA output.

Lots of problems
Low quality head unit. There is no split screen, I was informed that it had this feature and had screen mirroring which is not the same as Android auto. Android auto is limiting to certain apps. The launcher is locked to a horrible low tech one. The home screen has navi , Bluetooth mini player and mini fm player giving the impression that you can use the mini players and stay on the home screen. Doesn't work though. As soon as you touch one it opens the app, taking up the whole screen. The Z link app is out of date and not supported. You won't even find it at the play store. When side loading on my phone, the phone would not install it because it is to old of an app and not updated. Next the audio is pretty good until you start adjusting the volume. Vol 1-4 did very little if anything. Vol 5 was a big jump in sound, then very little difference after that. I have another Android unit that doesn't have this problem and the volume works as it should. The only thing I liked about the xtrons is the adjustable screen, which tilts up, down and left, right. Other than that this is a poor quality unit. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

Great, except you can't change the launcher
If it doesn't bother you that you can't change the launcher (the app loader that starts when you press home) then you'll probably love this head unit. I've used another launcher for years and like it, the one that comes with this unit kind of sucks by comparison. BUT, its just a launcher, I can just press one tile and start my launcher, or just (try to) get use to this one. But why, Why, WHY would you hard code in a launcher so people can't use what they want? It makes no sense, especially when everything else works so well. PROS: • Great sound. The EQ is a must to customize the sound for your environment; it makes a big difference. • Everything was well labeled and installed just fine • Unlike some CN units, the steering wheel controls ALL worked just fine on mine. Only had to connect K1 (I think on my car K2 is for cruise controls and that has no use on a head unit). • I do like the screen, very clear, great contrast. I wish it was just a bit brighter, but this works, even in broad daylight • All apps work great. I even got Hulu to work perfectly! Just go in to the Xtrons factory settings and turn on "HD". There is no explanation of the settings, and no "return to default" master setting (you can return the whole unit to factory settings but who wants to do that?); so if messing around with settings right down what you did. CONS: • Can't change the launcher! I would doubt all Xtrons units after this and verify whether the launcher can be changed • Cable for the screen looks like it won't take much abuse. If you plan to remove it a lot, or rotate the screen often, this might be an issue. (I leave mine at landscape and don't remote it, so no big deal to me) • My original unit is set back from the front of the dash (recessed) and this unit (with the external screen) barely fit. I can't really rotate my screen without removing it first; but I don't want to (so for ME its no big deal). I decided to keep it. I think all of the CN units have something about them I wouldn't like. This one thing really isn't that big of a deal (I'm using Android Auto quite a bit anyway and it has its own launcher). All and all I think its a great unit!

Great in any sports car.
Much faster than older models. Boot up is very quick and the back up camera is ready immediately. Once fully booted it connects to my phone and starts playing the last song on YouTube music from exactly where I left off or wherever I set it to play. Getting into your car to a theme song is pretty cool. You can also switch to hotspot Wi-Fi and watch YouTube or any other streaming service. It runs Android apps well even eDJing if you want to DJ live at a tailgate. I bought this specific model because it had most RAM to ensure smooth fast operation. Older models took too long to load because they didn't have as much RAM. The digital sound processor (or DSP) produces excellent sound even on the stock Bose stereo speakers of my 350Z. The tilting rotating display cannot be praised enough.

Dont waste your money
This radio has been nothing but a nightmare since I got it on January 11, 2024. The only somewhat decent thing is the screen size, but beyond that, none of the features work properly. The Bluetooth consistently drops calls after about 15 minutes, and even when it does work, calls are filled with static and distortion, making it impossible to hear anything—even after trying different microphones. The GPS randomly stops working, requiring me to restart the unit or the car just to get it running again. The backup camera doesn’t work at all. I was told to update the unit using a file they provided and a USB stick, but it refuses to update. At this point, nothing functions as it should. This radio is an absolute waste of money.
