Does the job just fine. Decent quality, gave it some abuse and it didn't fall apart or break, so can't complain.

This RS232 cable is quite easy to judge that it is made to the highest quality. StarTech is a reputable company and no doubt this is sufficient evidence for the quality standard. Excellent value, too, and pleased with the purchase.

I used this to connect an FTDI USB to serial converter to an APU4 router, but it would work anywhere you need a standard null-modem cable, i.e. connecting two DTEs (computers, etc.). I would have made up my own cables for this in the past, but there doesn't seem much point at this price.

lovely, cheap null modem cables. Invaluable for all that out of date equipment you come across in industry. Loses a star for not having any clear marking on it. I've resorted to writing "NULL" on them in marker pen, which looks really pro.

Works well as it's supposed to, not that hard to achieve as it's now about 40 year old technology. Would buy again!

Worked on an older device that I needed a longer cable for. Also purchased some gender changing adapters for the same device. All worked flawlessly.

Necesitaba un cable serie (parece mentira que hoy en dia, todavia se necesiten cables de comunicaciones RS232) para la instalación de unos equipos y lo compré esperando que fuera un objeto con una calidad justa pero nada mas de mi opinión inicial. Me encontré un objeto muy bien terminado y de calidad (ya habia probado otros cables de 3metros de longitud y daban problemas a menos velocidad - lo tenia que usar a 115200bps, 8,1,N). Voalvería a comprar otro en caso de ser necesario? Sin duda.
