Perfect fit!
I love how these are a bit thicker than the originals. The problem with the originals is that they are too shallow and so the insides constantly graze the edge of my ear. At one point I even developed a blister from the abrasion! After installing these upgraded cushions, I haven't had to worry about it again. The sound isolation is still great, they're comfortable, and fairly easy to install.

Better than expected
Comfy cool and a great fit for a replacement. I was worried it wouldn't be as good of quality as the original ones but they certainly are.

Pretty good upgrade, definitely worth it if the noise canceling knob pokes you
These are a good upgrade from the standard cups, assuming they hold up with time. I replaced my cups after about 3 years of use and some noticeable wear and tear. These are a bit thicker and just slightly larger cut out on the inside, so I've noticed that my ear fits into the cup a bit better without being pinched. This is really nice given that I generally wear glasses. The additional thickness will make them fit a bit tighter on your head, so if you have a big head beware of that, but considering it pushes the little nob for the noise canceling further away, it's worth the trade off. Pretty easy to install, just pop off the old ones with a butter knife. There's an instructional video, but no paper instructions.

Nice replacements
Just got the black upgraded ones for my Artics Nova Pro Wireless headset. My old ones had the PU leather worn down and gone and noise cancelling didn't seem liked it worked anymore. I understand that this headset doesn't have the greatest noise cancelling, but it did help bring it back. It is a noticeable difference in noise cancelling and comfort. I am impressed enough that I may pick up the silicone headband for the headset now. And giving the purchaser a 15% discount on their next purchase was a good idea. It got me haha

I liked them but they wore out within the year
TL;DR: Overall: 3/5 @ $27.95 + Feel/comfort + Looks - Noise seal - Durability So let's get the positives out of the way: overall, I liked how they felt and looked. When I first replaced my old NPW stock earcups, I did notice a slight decrease in the noise reduction, maybe an issue with how well these cups seal to my head, but that in itself isn't a dealbreaker for me. The feel on my head was better, and they weren't worn and flaking like my beat up stock earcups, so they were to my satisfaction in those regards. That said, the stock earcups didn't have to be replaced for about a year and half, which is when they started flaking (I wasn't the best at caring for them, to be fair). These earcups both tore at the upper seam, one at ~38 weeks in and the other about a week later (purchased early Jan '24, tore late Sept '24). The picture attached is from today, Oct 16, 2024, and both are pretty gross now that the inner foam is exposed to my skin. I use these headphones almost daily, so I don't expect them to be able to last forever, but less than a year is a bit disappointing. On the plus side, they haven't flaked much at all, besides a small few blemishes that may have been from bumping or scratching them due to user error. I am more diligent about cleaning them and wiping them of excess moisture and oil, so that may be a factor there. All in all, a 3/5 score seems about fair, for the pleasant experience and feel, the slight decrease in noise reduction, which can be a big deal for some users, and the less-than-stock durability. Definitely could be a worthwhile purchase if you're aware of what you're getting into.

Awesome company 😎
Update: The company reached out to me and wanted to work out any issues I had. Issued a full refund, ( I didn't even ask for) I really appreciate that. I will take that and get another pair. See if mine was just a fluke. The build quality and comfort of these out of the box is amazing . I just wished the firmness lasted Me a little longer. I'll try another pair. Thank you wicked for going above and beyond to make sure your customers are happy. These are really great cushions, definitely helped with the pooly designed headset. But after about a month they lost the thickness and firmness they had and I can feel the noise canceling nubs on my ears again. They really do help with it though, just wished they lasted longer.

Completely fell apart in ~1yr, just outside of warranty
They were great while they lasted, but they only survived ~15 months. I own 8 pairs of over-ear headphones and have replaced earpads on many of them over the years. Unfortunately, Wicked Cushions have proven to be the least durable earpad, stock or replacement, I have ever encountered. Both pads failed the same way at the same time after barely more than a year, and the warranty is only 365 days, so I can't even have them replaced. Alternatively, I have earpads on other headphones that have held up for over a decade. I'm very gentle with my electronics, so this kind of failure after only one year is simply unacceptable. They look great, and they felt great at first, but they absolutely did not stand the test of time. I will not buy these again.

In my opinion the stock pads are way better. The fake leather on the Wicked Cushions' feels like plastic. Not saying the stock ones are great, but the fake leather is way softer. These are the same depth and thicknesses as the stock ones so it wouldn't help if your ears touch the pads or the drivers. The memory foam seems to be the same but I only used them for a few days and then returned them, so I might not have given the foam enough time to soften up.

After spending some time with the Audeze Maxwell headset, I decided it was time for an upgrade to improve the comfort during long sessions. While the stock ear pads were decent, they lacked the plushness and comfort I was hoping for. Enter the Wicked Cushions ear pad upgrade, and let me tell you—this upgrade has completely transformed my experience. Comfort and Plushness The difference in comfort is night and day. The Wicked Cushions are incredibly plush, offering a soft and luxurious feel that the stock pads just couldn’t match. They cradle your ears perfectly, providing a snug yet gentle fit that feels like it was custom-made for this headset. Whether I’m gaming, listening to music, or just wearing the headset for extended periods, these pads make it a completely comfortable experience. Cooling Feature One of the standout features is how these pads stay cool. With the stock pads, I noticed some heat buildup during longer sessions, which could get uncomfortable. The Wicked Cushions, however, manage to stay much cooler, even after hours of use. This is a huge plus, especially for anyone who uses their headset in warmer environments or during intense gaming marathons. Perfect Fit The Wicked Cushions fit the Audeze Maxwell headset like a glove. Installation was simple, and once in place, they feel secure and stable. There’s no sliding or shifting, even with frequent adjustments or movement, which is something I value highly in replacement ear pads. Enhanced Sound Isolation While comfort was my primary goal, I was pleasantly surprised by the slight improvement in sound isolation as well. The plushness and material seem to create a better seal around the ears, which helps block out external noise and lets you focus on what you’re listening to. Durability and Quality The build quality of these ear pads is impressive. They feel well-made and sturdy, so I’m confident they’ll hold up to regular use over time. The stitching and materials are top-notch, and they maintain their shape even after extended use. Final Thoughts If you own an Audeze Maxwell headset and want to take its comfort to the next level, I can’t recommend the Wicked Cushions ear pad upgrade enough. They’ve turned a good headset into a truly exceptional one, making long sessions a breeze with their plush feel, cooling feature, and perfect fit. For anyone debating whether the upgrade is worth it, let me assure you—it absolutely is. These ear pads are a fantastic investment and have completely elevated my experience with the Maxwell headset. Don’t hesitate; your ears will thank you!
