Good reputation
If you're into guns you've probably heard of Magpul. This second gen version is improved as adjustments are tooless with the optional desert tan color. Very sturdy and always reliable these are my first choice for open sights on my battle rifles.

When tech fails. Iorns dont
Quick install So the only drawback I can see I have a trijicon front post with a trinium dot. The front post isnt compatible Update 1nov25 They're mounted on a 45 offset - 223 556 ar upper a 9-1 twist. The rear site was perfect Front had to be ajusted 10 rounds putting rounds in a grouping at 50yds with in 2 inches. Prevoius iorns had some play They\nWere a aircraft aluminum spring-loaded site that has a button on the side of it to activate it. The tolerances were relatively loose , as it appears that the groupings were all over the map. Well worth it I am becoming a magpul fan boy. This weekend will move find how well it holds true zero The front post pop up site that it replaced was much heavier. It Needed to be replaced, because the screw popped off Leaving the site in the up position , then at some point , it just fell out. Lets see if this one holds any better.It is from magpul , so I have much more faith in it One install tip that I will recommend When you remove the mounting screw, put blue lock tight on it.So , it will not back itself off

Can’t go wrong with magpul
Magpul makes great BUIS. These are no exception. I will say that I dislike the positioning of the deployment button on the gen 3’s over the earlier models. The buttons have been moved from the sides of the sights, which allowed them to be deployed at least by me, while still mostly maintaining a combat grip on the rifle. That’s no longer possible with the buttons on the top side of the sights. The older design seemed more robust as well, but time will tell.

Tight fit
Very tight fit. Was concerned it may damage my FDE upper, and handguard finish. With gentle but forcefull encouraging I was able to install them.
