Do yourself a favour and just BUY IT!
So, I put high gloss dark grey tiles (10cmx10cm) on the kitchen walls around the back of cooker and sink etc, was looking amazing! Then grouted with a charcoal grout. Was told to leave it 1.5 hours before cleaning last of grout off. I left it 4 hours thinking I was doing good leaving it longer..... WRONG! I was left with a misty patch on every tile. I panicked, thinking I had scratched them or done something that meant they were ruined, I cried! Then went on-line to see what if anything I could do. Discovered I probably had grout haze/film/bloom. Bought this product but the instructions seemed to be meant for floor tiles. So I made up my own instructions. I did each tile separately. I used a small paint brush and applied water and then the undiluted HG solution, left for 30 seconds and then wiped with a wet cloth and then buffed up with a soft dry cloth. Am sitting here looking at my gorgeous shiny tiles. This product works. No scrubbing involved. Took all morning as tiles were small and there was many of them and I did choose to do each one separately because they were on the walls. I cannot recommend this product enough. And all for under a tenner.

Useful product
We used some lovely quartzite mosaic tiles in our kitchen, but although I knew they would need sealing, I didn't realise this should have been done before grouting them. The grout penetrated the pores of the unsealed tiles and left a white bloom even after we had scrubbed as much off as possible, covering the sheen and colours of the tiles. So I tried this grout remover and was pleased with the results. At first I used it very cautiously but actually I found it was more effective at a higher concentration than advised on the pot, and when scrubbed in with wire wool,it did remove the bloom without affecting the grout between the tiles. I had also expected it to smell strongly but actually it had very little smell at all. The tiles are now clean and attractive. The job was quite hard work, needed a lot of scrubbing, but I would recommend this product.

Finally..!
I spent a fortune on beautiful frosted glass tiles to cover a large area around my bath/shower. When finished I asked the tiler what to do about the grout haze (as I now know it's called!) that covered the tiles. He said that it would come off naturally over time; not having had anything tiled before, I just believed him. Fool. Anyway, over a year later I've experimented with everything I can find to try to remove it, all the time thinking that I should have just gone with normal tiles and even considering getting the whole thing done again. Then I found this product and, deciding I have nothing to lose (it can't look any worse, can it?), I just attacked the tiles with a kitchen sponge/scourer and the concentrated, non-diluted product. It was like a small miracle occurred in my bathroom (and I'm not a religious person)! The haze lifted, the tiles are undamaged and it took absolutely minimal effort. Would I recommend this product? In a heartbeat. I'm waiting for the HG grout cleaner to arrive today and I'm actually excited to get going on the grout!

Ace product
The photos are of our walk-in shower area showing the black tiles. What I haven't shown are the cream tiles (floor to ceiling) in the rest of the bathroom, all of which were covered in this yuky grey haze. I tried all methods I could find on the internet - vinegar and soap, just soap, green scrubbing sponge, et al and nothing shifted it. I bought this product and followed the instructions. Still no shift on the grout haze, so in sheer frustration, I tried it neat, applying it with a nail brush (!) scrubbing it in and immediatly washing it off. Hey presto! It worked. My bathroom now looks pristine. It does say on the bottle to use neat if the grout is stubborn, I just didn't expect the whole bathroom to be quite so troublesome. Anyway, at end of the day this product worked like a dream and saved my sanity. PS I'm a 62 year old woman with arthritis, so if I can do it, any one can

A job for the fully able-bodied, rather than a pensioner however game!
Ordered this product after reading magazine recommendation to a reader's enquiry for the care of Victorian floor tiles. As my home has just such much-loved, though aged, floor tiles in the porch and hall, I am anxious to do what I can to preserve them. *But I have to confess that maybe I've not done the product justice, as I am a senior citizen and found myself unable to carry out the scrubbing required. It did ineed appear to promise to be effective if this had been done. It was a long, arduous job for me, with all the rinsing necessary, and I was v. tired by the end. However, I'm satisfied that I did the best I can, and hope for a nice finish when I can get around to sealing (which I'm a bit apprehensive about..), prior to which I plan to keep the floors damp-dusted.

Does what it says on the tin. Worked well.
We tiled this floor but unfortunately didn’t clean the grout on time and it created this misty dust covering the whole floor and when we mopped it, it looked great but when it dried it looked terrible and it lost it’s colour. This was good stuff. You still need to work at it but we’d bought other cleaners and they never worked well and HG was the only product that nailed it (thankfully as we were starting to worry). Thank you.

Did not work for me.
We purchased this to remove group residue from our tiles. We used a 1:1 dilution but this did it remove the group which had dried on. We used a sponge scrubber to add a bit of elbow grease and although it remove some it did not take it all away.

Works on thin layers but not thick
Works well for thin grouted layers/films but not where that are large clumps (had to scrap/chisel these off). Can be very messy to use and needs a lot of water to clear up.
