Great little lights that look good on the entrance to my house and above the house name plate. Fitted them with 35W cool white LED bulbs and they work perfectly, the small sensor under the lamp detects from a reasonable distance and is easily adjusted by pulling the cover down to reveal the 3 variable position adjusters. Definitely worth the purchase if you don't want to fit a separate PIR sensor for your outdoor lights. Sturdy metal construction should last too.

I love these lights and they look fantastic, we bought the down pointing one not the up down ones. The down ones are basically the same as the up down but half the size because there is no up. The motion detection can be adjusted underneath the flaps with a flat head screw driver. One of those screw drivers you find in a Christmas cracker. Bulbs are sold separately, fitting the bulbs are easy but upon tightening the device together again you can tell the rubber seal which comes off starts to pop out and ruin the design slightly. A slight adjust of how tight you tighten solves this but how long will that seal last? This is where the star deduction comes from and only time will tell.

Easy to install, simply wire in the rear through the water gasket, make sure the box seal is in place, then screw the front on. It looks lovely and neat. You can change the bulb after fitting as the lense protector screws off and in easily; again with a weather gasket. Ive gone with a daylight class bulb, and fused it fir 3 amps at the outlet. The only worry whilst fitting was the gaskets, you have to take care of them. Even so the internal wiring is high inside above the openings in the outer case.

Bought 2 of these for outside the house as I didn't want the hassle of a separate PIR. They are very solid and seem well constructed, although I agree with other comments about the wiring being fiddly. They work perfectly with 3 Watt LED bulbs. The only slight niggle I have is that the sensor, even at maximum sensitivity, does not make the light come on until about 2 meters away from the unit. This isn't really a problem for the way I use it, but it might be for some.

I already have a number of these lights, and like them so much that I bought this one to extend the outside lighting farther. They look great and cast a good amount of light. It's very easy to change the bulbs (standard G10) and to adjust the length of time the lights come on for and how dark it is when they trigger. You do this by lowering the little "eyelid" on the sensor to expose the controls, which you then can adjust with a small flathead screwdriver (took me a while to find this!). Great product.

Absolutely excellent light, looks great lighting up and down the side of the house, however, of the 4 I have bought, on 1 of them the PIR won't turn off, so just have to use it as a normal light. I've already installed it and it would be too much hassle to send it back

Product is aligned with the price, easy to install and with good detection.

UPDATE - still OK, April 2018. UPDATE - still OK, July 2017. _________________________________________________ It's early days, so I'll report back with any problems - but, after a week or so, no problems yet. It cost £60 for a qualified electrician to fit - that's about 3 times the cost of the lamp - but it WAS outside, is constantly 'on' and needed to meet new H&S safety installation rules with an outside waterproof 'safety trip' etc. (A bit like an outdoor, waterproof fusebox. I was replacing an existing outdoor socket, used for vacuum cleaning the car and little else, which became 'illegal'. Most people can probably run a cable from e.g. INside a porch. I'm def not an expert, though, so consult your qualified electrician.) I got two GU10 5-watt LED bulbs from a £1 Shop, so that was another £2 on the total cost. Sigh. ; - ) 3 watts would probably be bright enough, during dusk / nighttime. Bulb fitting / replacement very easy. The 2 chunky ends just screw off, and there is a fine rubber seal at both ends, for waterproof-ness. Adjustments are under the flip-up small 'eyelid' - 3 controls, worked by a small flat-blade screwdriver. I think the electrician set everything to 'centre position' or a little lower, so it wasn't TOO sensitive and set off by passing cats, falling leaves etc. The vendor told me by phone that turning the 'lux' setting to max would keep the light on all the time, if that's what you want. (That would be all day, too, though.) Not tried that, though. The other 2 settings are 'sensitivity to movement area' and 'length of time the light stays on for' - from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, says the instruction sheet. I'm not very DIY-ish but I have one tip - when you increase the sensitivity to movement, it increases the sensitive area directly IN FRONT of the light. The sensitivity from side-to-side (100 degrees, according to the install sheet) does not really change. As my light is approached 'side on', it could do with being a bit more sensitive and coming on quicker but won't, because of the side-to-side sensitivity. Not really a biggie, but worth bearing in mind. You can't adjust the actual angle of the uplighting. To be honest, the uplight is just for the show and it's the downlight that does all the work - I got this to light an uneven path, rather than as a burglar deterrent. For that reason, it's quite low down on the wall, and only about 2 metres + above ground level. Having said that, I've not actually TRIED turning up the sensitivity at this stage. WIll come back here if I do. I'd have liked blue LEDS, just for show, but resisted the temptation. Blue up; white down might be OK, if a little weird-looking. Don't get me started on colour-changing GU10s. I've probably made this sound much more complicated than it really is - but, so far; so good, so it's recommended.

après installation le capteur a fonctionné une fois puis après les réglages de luminosité et de temps plus rien ne fonctionne la lumière reste allumé quoi que je fasse retour et remboursement , pourtant lj avais choisi le plus cher entre deux .... on va aller chez la concurrence moins cher

4 Lampen haben wir als "Neu" bestellt über Amazon. Eine war bereits offen und fing innen an zu rosten, diese haben wir dann umgehend zurück geschickt. Ich hoffe einfach mal das war ein Fehler? Aber ich bewerte mal die anderen drei wirklich neuen Lampen + Der Sensor funktioniert einwandfrei, nachdem man die Kappe vorsichtig nach unten geschoben hat, kann man die Einstellungen vornehmen. 1. Wie lange bleibt die Lampe an 2. Reichweite des Bewegungsmelders 3. Ab wie viel Lux springt die Lampe bei Bewegung an. + Die Lampe ist leicht zu montieren. Die Rückseite besteht aus Kunststoff. Die Haltbarkeit wird sich auf dauer zeigen. + Die GU10 Birnen waren nicht mit dabei, was ich vorher gelesen hatte. So konnten wir unsere Favoriten bestellen. + Klein und Leicht aber von der Ausleuchtung her Super ( bei Gelegenheit füge ich Bilder hinzu ) - bisher noch kein Negativpunkt gefunden. Als Ergänzung. Wenn man die Lampe zum ersten mal einschaltet, bleibt die Lampe für eine Weile an ca 2-5 Minuten und schaltet sich dann aus. Ab dann funktioniert die Lampe entsprechend den Einstellungen des Bewegungsmelders.
