Strong and Sturdy bench
Takes less than an hour to put together. I stopped for a coffee to check diagrams during the build so it looks longer to put together than it was. Its well made with strong metal parts. No sharp metal cuts. Each bolt lined up perfectly for assembly. I used it to cut a length of gutter downpipe and the vice-like grip held very firm while cutting. I sprayed the winding mechanism with some Silicone and it made a difference. I'm pleased I chose this bench.

Master 200 workbench - Good value for money
Arrived quickly. On opening the box everything is neatly packed. First thing was to check off all the contents to ensure everything was there. Then a quick look through the instructions to get the order of things, then just follow the steps logically. Assembly was relatatively straightforward and took about 45 mins. Yes, some of the diagrams could have been clearer but it wasn't too difficult to work out what fixed to what, using a little bit of common sense. Assembled and with all nuts fully tightened, the workbench is pretty sturdy but don't expect it to be like the B&D workmates of old. They were factory assembled, very sturdy and with the table made of multiple layers of ply, rather than a bit of thick mdf and some thin pressed steel. However, for the light use it will have from me, it will suffice amply and frankly, at £31 you can't expect cast iron! I note that on Screwfix it is trade rated and also £20 more!

Good product- awful instructions.
This seems like a good, strong, solid workbench, constructed from quality materials. Once assembled, it stands strong and stable, and folds reasonably flat for storage. The main hindrance is the awful assembly instructions, which don't have enough steps, and in particular don't make clear one very important principle in assembling the legs. There are two sets of holes in the upper part of the legs- one round and one slotted. It is the slotted holes into which the leg-locking handles need to be bolted. Additionally, while doing this, you have to make sure that the spindle that allows the legs to be adjusted is located into a little notch at the top of the leg. If you don't get this right, the whole top part of the bench will be unstable, or else it won't collapse properly. The instructions don't make it clear it all. This issue aside, hopefully this will be well worth the money.

Solid good quality workbench
I've only recently discovered the German company Wolfcraft but I must say I am a convert. The product was delivered quickly, and although slightly fiddly to assemble it went together in ten minutes. The result is a sturdy and solid workbench that is able to cope with most light DIY work. I'm upgrading a house at the moment and the workbench is in use every day - no complaints so far! It's true that the instruction manual is a little confusing - they only have diagrams and the angle they show the workbench is sometimes quite unhelpful to figure out which bit fits where (I had to look at the picture on the box a couple of times). The company should redraw the instruction manual showing a couple of different views and this problem would be solved. All in all it's a good looking and reliable bit of kit.

Best of a bad bunch?
This was bought to replace the classic Black and Decker Workmate that was worn out after 30 years hard use. However, do not expect any product on the market even remotely resemble the original B&D Workmate. The new B&W Workmates are so unbelievably bad that the cardboard box they come in looks stronger than the product. I had to look elsewhere! The reason I chose this was the price and reviews, and so at £46 delivered it is unfair to criticise it too much, but it simply isn't going to stand up to any real work. For example, at has no cross bracing and so will be wobbly when doing longitudinal work (e.g. planing a long strip of wood clamped in the workbench). The clamping mechanism has too much nylon and so will simply not last or have any real clamping strength. Another complaint is that the bolts and nuts that are supplied to assemble it are so poor that two sheared when tightening (no, I didn't over tighten - just went through normal procedure with the correct screwdriver). There are also no washers or lock nuts or flanged nuts, making the the joints poor and indicating that costs have been cut to the bone at the expense of a proper bolted together product. Shame. If you are looking for a classic Workmate-like product, be prepared to be very disappointed by everything on the market and so the price you pay for your choice is crucial.

Straightforward assembly with the right tools
My previous folding 2008 workbench was 14.5 kg of pressed steel, and too grand for current small DIY jobs. Wolfcraft Master 200 weighs 11.9 kg, and the galvanised frame should last. V high quality bolts and nuts. Four essential tools for one-hour assembly: PZ2 and PZ3 screwdrivers, plus 10 mm and 13 mm spanners (NOT adjustable big ones). Very clear illustrated instructions and safety tips. In a decade, ask me how it has lasted.

Does not fold flat !
Extremely fiddly to build, took about 1 hour. Instructions, not the best. Relatively stable once assembled. Biggest issue is it does not fold flat, gone back over assembly instructions several times and everything is in place, but won’t fold flat. In conclusion, very poor design, doesn’t store easily. Bad purchase, won’t be purchasing Wolfcraft again..

Fantastic Product. Fantastic Service.
I bought this workbench back in 2014. For the last 11 years, I've used and abused it, and it has served me well. Lately, I've noticed that the clamping jaws were getting a bit worn - especially at one end where I saw a lot of logs. There was nothing wrong with the rest of the workbench, and it's always done what I needed, so I didn't really want to throw the whole thing out. Instead, I got in touch with Wolfcraft customer service. They sent me a new set of the MDF clamping jaws for free. These are now fitted, the workbench looks like new, and I'm looking forward to another decade of amateur carpentry and incompetent DIY. Great product. Great service.
