I love that it is a concentrate and I can mix it in my own sparyer or dispenser. Review: Effective on Silverleaf Nightshade and Other Broadleaf Tough Weeds - We live on just over an acre in central Arizona and moved into an area that is infested with Silverleaf Nightshade (Solanum elaeagnifolium, or aka Horesenettle) which is a toxic, tough, nasty, perennial weed from the Nightshade family, poisonous to both humans and animals if ingested, especially the numerous yellow berries it produces. It spreads quickly through an extensive tuberous and woody root system and has sharp tiny painful spines covering the entire stems and even leaves. It is extremely difficult to control and requires numerous treatments and vigilance to eradicate as it pop up everywhere from the central sytem. This Ortho "super concentrate", which works down through the root sytems of these broadleaf obnoxious weeds (and many others), is one of the few effective controls I have found. Glycophosphate-based (the basic "Roundup types", etc) weed killers will only give temporary control. It is cost-effective compared to the pre-mixed stuff, especially if you have large areas to cover. Be careful when using it as it contains 2,4-D and Dicamba (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid). Do not use near any sensitive or wanted plants when temperatures are above 80 degrees, or even a slight breeze, as 2,4-D and Dicamba will vaporize and drift onto them, damaging and even killing them as well. I know, as the volatilization killed a few of my young grapevines when I used another weed killer (Crossbow) containing 2,4-D when it was 95 degrees. This applies to weed killers carrying Triclopyr as well, so read and adhere to the instructions and BE CAREFUL.

I would use it again
Did a pretty good job of clearing out brush. Not as strong as the tractor supply ground clear but it did well enough.

Impressive, easy to use
I’m quite impressed! I’ve used this style of container and electric pump with bug spray so I figured it would be an easier way of killing some weeds and grass. We tried weeding by hand but it took forever and grew back in a few weeks. So I read some reviews and went for this product. Works super well. Some reviews noted it didn’t work in 15 mins like some of the product photos showed. Mine didn’t either. I gave it a day/overnight and the grass I sprayed died. Within two weeks or so the dead grass flopped over and blew away or is barely noticeable. I attached a photo showing my initial test area. I started in one area where the grass was pretty thick on my walkway. So ugly. We have large stones as steps, then some small pebbles between them with dark mulch on either side. You can clearly see where I started and specifically left the upper area alone for comparison. I love it! It killed the grass I sprayed and didn’t discolor the large stones, small stones or mulch. I also sprayed in areas with pine type bushes and it didn’t bother them. I kept it away from flowers but sprayed near the base and they were fine too. I highly recommend. I sprayed each section twice. Nothing overly heavy but “wiggling” it back and forth as I sprayed. Aimed at the base of the grass then the upper “leafs.” Worked better than expected. I used two containers to do a backyard patio with much larger stones and then the front walkway. I don’t know longevity but it’s been 3-4 weeks and in those areas, no grass has come back. I will need to spray a little next year I’m sure when new grass seeds float around but hopefully nothing this bad. Highly recommend!

Worked so much faster than expected
I ordered this to get rid of some burr plants that had become an infestation under my deck. Usually with these sprays it takes a week or two for me to see the results. The plants usually die, but it takes a while. Not with this though! I sprayed under my deck and 6 hours later I looked and everything except the ivy was browning and dying (and lets face it, ivy is basically immortal so I'm not upset over that.) Within a day or two the burr plants were shriveling and dead, exactly as I had hoped. The sprayer worked perfectly, the liquid killed the plants quickly, and it wasn't too expensive. This stuff is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Easy to use, completely effective. Kills weeds fast.
The landscapers at my place told me about this product. I was getting some big, tall weeds. One thing that I thought was lavender turned out to be some kind of poisonous nightshade that I read could even be bad if I were to touch it. I was pleased that the Ortho Ground Clear was fitted with a wand that required no pumping. It seems to run on a battery (included). This really saves my arthritic hands. The icing on the cake is that it quickly killed all my weeds. I was so impressed with the strength of this product and at a reasonable price.

Missing wand sprayer and hose
Don’t order this if you don’t have the exact hose and spray wand to fit the bottle. Mine arrived without the hose or spray wand. Had I not had a previous bottle this would have been useless to me. Luckily I had an empty bottle that I could salvage the hose and wand. About the product, it seems to work good for me on weeds and grass when sprayed on the foliage with plenty of hours of hot sun and no rain for 24 hours. I use this product where a neighbor built a privacy fence next to my chain link fence with zero area for mowing or using a weed eater. As far as young saplings or other woody plants it really doesn’t work for me.

No spray wand included with my delivery
Arrived with no spray wand, only the bottle...so I had to pour it into a spray bottle. Product did begin to kill everything within 24 hours.
