Better than the cheap stuff
Bought a wooden spatula for a couple quid a year ago and it cracked. Bought this a few months ago and there’s no looking back. Pros: - not overly expensive imo (albeit 5x more than the 2 quid one) - beautiful wood grain - thicker and sturdier, which is fantastic for scraping our cast iron, enamelled cast iron and carbon steel pots and pans - slight curve which means it’s great for flipping eggs Cons: - not dishwasher safe - need to oil it once every few months depending on use (I use Howard cutting board oil) - not recommended to leave it soaking in water (although I’ve done this a couple times by accident and nothing has happened, so nothing oiling can’t fix!) The cons are minor and not the end of the world, and it’s the price you pay for wanting better quality and long lasting items imo!

Beautiful Wood!
Been using these for a couple years. I cover in Walnut Oil every 4 months and let dry to maintain the wood. And avoid putting in dishwasher. Lovely look and feel.

Olive wood spatula
The olive wood is absolutely lovely. Looks so good. The spatula itself works fine. It's not as thin as a metal one, but does the job as well as can be expected. Highly recommend this, looks every bit as good as the photos. Male sure you buy some mineral oil too. You need to periodically oil wooden objects to stop them drying out and cracking and to stop the wood from absorbing too much water

Really good
This is my second Olive Wood turner from Eddingtons, the previous one lasted for nearly 8 years before it started to turn black. They're more durable than the usual beechwood or nylon options and can be used in any type of pan to turn burgers, fish or fried eggs.

pleasure of use.
My husband is delighted with these ~ our last ones broke after many years of good ~ hard ~ well used service. These are a much better quality than ones we have previously bought.

I’ve had this spatula for almost 7 years now and it’s definitely a go to implement in our kitchen. Although it’s sustained a small amount of damage, it’s a great blend of thinness, durability and versatility. Any thicker and it gets hard to put it under food when you’re scooping and any thinner, it would break too easily. I will say to that for all the meals that it’s used for it’s never gotten stained or held on to something oily. It always comes clean and it always looks good.

Tentei comprar mais uma. Mas é Importada da Itália e não consegui encontrá-la no mercado brasileiro.

After having my nearly 20 year old bamboo spoon ‘culled’, I urgently needed another spoon that could be used in all my cooking and I found it. Made from Olive Tree timber, it is a perfect fit for my hand, comfortable to use and I know I will have this utensil for many years to come. Thank you!
